MS1 3D MEDIASERVER MEDIAPLAYER When playing blu ray movies this key behaves like the Green button lt MARK key Admin UI amp BluRay This key is used in the media libraries to select multiple items and then perform an action on them collectively For more information about using the mark function please refer to page 28 Audio Library and page 36 Video Library When playing blu ray movies this key behaves like the Yellow button NUMERIC 0 to 9 keys Admin UI The numeric keys can be used as follows e In an Admin UI library you may jump to an item in the list that begins with one of the letters specified at the top of each key e In text entry mode these keys can be used as an alphanumeric key pad similar to a mobile phone GU REPEAT RETURN key The Repeat key has the following functions e During music playback this key toggles the repeat play setting on the MediaServer e In text entry mode this key can be used to perform a carriage return 4 gt SHUFFLE DELETE key The Shuffle key has the following functions e During music playback this key toggles the random play setting on the MediaServer e In text entry mode this key can be used to delete characters M STOP key During playback the Stop key halts playback on the currently selected output of the MediaServer gt PLAY key The Play key can be used to resume playback on the currently selected output of the MediaServer 25

TTING TO FACTORY DEFAULTS If you reset the unit to the factory defaults all personal customisation for instance changes to the aspect ratio of the display will be removed Once removed this is not recoverable although there is nothing to stop you reapplying the changes yourself CAUTION this will reset all your network settings which may render your system unuseable e Press Y Reset Defaults The unit will shut down and restart automatically Note that your PIN will not be reset by this process ERASING ALL MEDIA FROM THE UNIT This can be achieved as follows CAUTION This process will permanently delete all your albums and videos and cannot be reversed e _ From the Reset System screen shown above select Clear Content A Confirm screen will be displayed 7 Please confirm Reset to default settings and restart e Press Y Yes to confirm that you wish to proceed The Enter Password screen will be displayed Enter password X Cancel OK lt and gt to move around the text N Page to change character set e Enter the System Password which is ResetMyMedia Note that the password is case sensitive The unit will shut down and restart automatically and all audio and video media will be erased If you have a large amount of media on your MediaServer the erase then restart process can take some time Copyright Prism Media Products Ltd 2012 MS1 3D MEDIASERVER MEDIAPL

TV key will blink twice to indicate that the configuration has been accepted If the TV key does not blink begin the process again taking care to enter the number exactly as printed in the list If the television is switched on during the configuration process entering the correct code will cause the television to go into standby To configure the remote to control your amplifier follow the above procedure pressing the AMP key in place of the TV key and using the appropriate numeric code for your amplifier REMOTE CONTROL USE IN A MULTIROOM SYSTEM Your MediaServer remote control can be configured so that every button press indicates to the system which output is to be controlled This means that whenever infrared is received by the MediaServer the TV display will automatically switch to controlling the appropriate output Configuring the Remote with a Default Output e Press the Audio Server and Y Select keys simultaneously hold them down for 1 second The Audio Server key will remain lit for 20 seconds the configuration process must be completed during this time e Enter the 3 digit code corresponding to the output you would like to control valid configurations are listed in Appendix A For example to set Output 6 as your default output press 006 e Press the Audio Server button again The Audio Server button will blink twice to indicate that the configuration has been accepted If the Audio Server button does

The system will only record unencrypted DVDs and BluRay discs AUDIO RECORDING QUALITY The system allows you to record music and store it in a number of different formats MPEG layer 3 MP3 You can record to MP3 at a number of different bit rates Higher bitrates give better quality but take up more space on your MediaServer s external storage device By default the unit records music at 192Kb VBR MP3 WAV lossless uncompressed The WAV format is uncompressed which gives the highest possible quality but takes up the most space Windows Media Audio WMA Standard WMA is a compression format similar to MP3 Again higher bitrates give better quality but larger files WMA Lossless is not supported RECORDING SETTINGS The units can be configured so that discs can be recorded with minimal user interaction e Press the amp Menu key to display the Home Page e Use the lt and gt keys to highlight Set Up and press Y Select then choose Switch to Admin UI You will be prompted for a PIN which is 1234 by default after which the display will switch to the Admin UI The PIN can be changed in the Admin UI e Use the A or V keys and press the Y Select key to display the Set Up screen e Choose User Settings and press Y Select e Choose Recording Settings and press Y Select Recording Settings Default Rec Qual MP3 192kb VBR Confirm Format Enabled Auto Record Disabled Auto Record Eject Disabled To
