VGS Marketingservice GmbH instruction manual Barensteiner Str 23 25 i 1 01277 Dresden Installation and operating instructions VG S for Maxx products A General 1 Information about this instruction Please note the following instructions for installation and use of your MaxxLuxx product in order to ensure a successful safe and durable function 2 Product description MaxxLuxx products are light objects made of acrylic and or other materials with incorporated LEDs that are Sealed with a flexible resin and thus protected against negative environmental influences MaxxLuxx light objects are suitable for indoor and outdoor use The requirements are met at least in accordance with IP 65 up to IP 68 is possible MaxxLuxx light objects can be ordered individually or pre assembled on a substructure for example on a cover made out of Dibond an Aluminum Composite Material 3 Usage 01 MaxxLuxx objects are used for lighting advertising or decorative purposes For other applications please contact us If the objects are not used in accordance with the relevant application areas or requirements this can lead to loss of warranty respectively guarantee 02 The light objects are designed for the purposes above and therefore are not suitable as toys for children Therefore please keep your children away from these objects 4 Safety instructions 01 The electrical connection according to the included wi2. manual Barensteiner Str 23 25 01277 Dresden Installation and operating instructions VG S for exmx Luoor products 06 Please note that acrylic glass is expending in a different way as e g metal stone wood concrete etc when itis warm respectively contracts when itis cold and stress resulting from this has to be avoided Please also note that particularly with large light elements acrylic objects expand differently with heat for example solar radiation or other heat sources It also has to be avoided that water accumulates between the pilaster strips and the installation ground respectively the mounting parts B Mounting and application of MaxxLuxx luminous objects Use the existing mounting points on the light objects MaxxLuxx light objects are provided with blind holes and threads on the back you can see the mounting template and their exact position and dimensions in the installation file Note The introduction of additional holes or the changing of existing holes in light objects may lead to irreparable damage to the light objects and to void the warranty If you want to implement other mounting options than those specified by us the technical conditions have to be resolved by you 1 Mounting and application of MaxxLuxx luminous objects 01 The light objects are supplied with stripped cable ends and without connecting terminals Please pay attention to the respective marking of the veins Yo
3. o be used based on the underground The primary power supply has to be executed using the included clamp connection in the housing of the power supply according to EN 60998 Please mind that the conductor cross section must be appropriate to the power and must be at most 2 5mm per vein for a 3 vein wire For this electrical work you have to follow in particular the safety instructions in section A 4 01 3 Operation Please comply with the prescribed test and revision periods for electrical appliances and equipment Furthermore please take into account that LEDs age significantly faster when they are operated at high temperatures for example in the summer during direct sunlight For this reason the luminous objects at an outdoor installation have to be operated with a dimmer switch or a timer Cleaning Instructions Regular cleaning of the objects is recommended as needed Paint and acrylic must not be cleaned with aggressive or strong detergents such as alcohol or steel wool Material compatibility is to test on an inconspicuous place before use We recommend mild soapy water for cleaning 4 Error Analysis Error Solution The light objects are not illuminated Check if the power supply converter receives a voltage of 230V Check the secondary voltage of the power supply converter The light objects are flashing The power supply the converter is not correctly dimensioned or there is a short circuit If
4. ring diagram should be performed exclusively by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with all regulations 02 Itis not allowed to pull on any cables The individual light objects may therefore not be transported on the connection cables If the casted power cable is not properly fixed in the light object please contact us before the commissioning of the system 03 For assembly and application please orientate yourselves on the usual ESD protection requirements for LEDs 04 We recommend the use of the proposed power supply converter by VGS Marketingservice GmbH to supply your light objects in order to prevent malfunction or damage In any case only power supply units converter which meet the relevant safety regulations and provide a maximum effective current of 3A in case of a malfunction must be used Please also note that due to improper installation improper operation incorrect power supplies converters or interventions in the mechanical respectively electrical construction the warranty or guarantee claims can be lost respectively serious security problems could arise 05 The cable connections between the light objects and the power supply converter must be insulated competently protected against the ingress of water and fixed conform to the regulations For outdoor usage only lines according to standards must be installed which among others need to have an UV protection 1 4 VGS Marketingservice GmbH instruction

6. u have to consider the requirements in the area for safety extra low voltage SELV Here for example connections may be made by soldering The insulation is then made by heat shrink tubing with adhesive or press connection using butt connectors for example company Klauke The insulation of the butt connector needs to be shrunken 02 Please note the information on the wiring diagram that is included in every delivery atall cost If you did not receive one we ask you to contact us before connecting the light objects While connecting several light objects mount the power supply converter at a central location as close as possible to the light objects and choose a cabling with preferably the same cable lengths to all light objects in order to avoid differences in brightness between the light objects 03 The cross section and the type of the supply cable from the power supply converter to the light objects must be conform to requirements as well as to the valid international standards For long cable lengths please ask us for the required cable cross section 04 Do not damage neither the power supplies converter nor the incoming and outgoing cables and do not use damaged parts 05 To prevent hazards a damaged cable in a light object must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer his authorized service center or a qualified person 06 Do not disable any protection provided by the power supply manufacturer such as the protective ear
