5. a guide for positioning documents laterally Note gt Fit the paper stop from the left or right to the front edge of the document table and push it to the required position Setting the trip switch i Note The trip switch order no 738 620 001 is activated when contacted by a document and starts the stamping operation Loosen the knurled screw holding the trip switch 6 and slide the switch to the required position Secure the trip switch 6 again with the knurled screw Connecting the power supply The socket for the power supply 1 is on the right hand side of the machine Make connections only in the order given below First plug the power supply into the machine and then to the power socket This avoids overloading the electronics Warning 1 Connect the lead from the power supply to the socket 1 on the right hand side of the machine 2 Connect the power supply 2 to the power socket The machine will now start setting its print wheels If necessary you can then set the date and time see page 19 The machine is now ready to use Note 10 Printing The printing symbols on the document table and the froni cover 7 indicate the horizontal position of the stamp A marking on the left front cover arrow shows the vertical centre line of the stamp These markings make it possible to position the stamps accurately on a document Push the document into the stamping mac
6. complies with relevant safety regulations for information technology equipment including those for electric office machinery e Unauthorised opening of the machine and improper repairs can cause considerable danger fire hazard e To avoid the danger of injury do not insert your fingers between the baseplate and the print carriage e Transport the machine only in its original package or other suitable package that provides protection against shock and impact e Ifthe machine is taken from a cold environment into a warm room condensation may form on it Wait until the machine has warmed up to room temperature and is absolutely dry before starting to use it Make sure that the local mains voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the power supply e Ensure that the power socket which you use for the machine is readily accessible at all times and is near to the machine e The machine has no ON OFF switch to disconnect it from the mains you must unplug the power supply from the power socket e Arrange the connection leads so that they do not create a hazard danger of tripping and cannot be damaged e Take care that no objects e g necklaces paper clips or liquids fall into the machine danger of electric shock or short circuit e In an emergency e g in the event of damage to the machine casing control elements or the mains lead or if an object or liquid falls into the machine disconnect the power supply from the power s
