INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION OF SINGLE SIDED DEADBOLT 1 MARK DOOR 4 INSTALL THUMB TURN ASSEMBLY if Align torque blade of thumb B Rotate turnpiece to locked turn assembly with crank position bolt extended in latch ae press flush Insert two oval head mounting against door screws and tighten As rok ans Spey rulo ts B Mark center hole on door face through guide on template mak center of door edge for For either 2 3 8 60mm or 5 IN TALL STR KE _ 25 mm latch hole as 2 3 4 70mm backset indicated on template at the desired height from the floor A Locate strike plate by marking end of bolt with marking crayon or lipstick Close door and operate bolt back and forth several times to mark the jamb 2 DRILL HOLES Locate the center of spot and drill a 1 25mm diameter hole a minimum of 1 25mm deep In edge of door drill a 1 25mm Lock will not function properly if hole diameter latch hole where previously is not deep enough marked Drill 4 102mm deep Then drill a 1 5 8 41mm hole making sure not to break through to opposite side B Center strike plate over hole and mark Drill just past the 1 25mm diameter around outside with pencil or scribe hole With chisel cut out jamb to a depth of 1 16 1 5mm or until strike plate can be installed flush Insert and tighten two flat head wood 3 INSTALL LATCH screws INSTALL MOUNTING Plate On Side Of Latch Facing Inside Of A Insert latch into hol2. e keeping B Chisel 1 8 3mm deep or until it parallel to face of door face plate of Deadbolt is flush Mark outline and remove latch with door edge IMPORTANT Do not use a hammer on latch if bolt is extended 5 Deadbolt j Inside Tum Unit C Install deadbolt latch in up D For round face drive in deadbolt position into hole as shown simply press flush to door on latch Insert and tighten edge Bolt must be vertically screws aligned with door edge as indicated by arrow MINIMUM DOOR THICKNESS MARK CENTER OF 1 3 8 35mm 1 5 8 41mm HOLE ON DOOR FACE T CAUTION DO NOT DRILL 1 5 8 HOLE THROUGH THE ENTIRE THICKNESS OF THE DOOR DRILL JUST PAST THE 1 HOLE FOR LATCH Fold here on door edge ine P cry Y7 D a Fi g Backset 2 3 8 60mm Pa c S CAUTION DO NOT DRILL MARK MARK k 1 5 8 41mm HOLE THROUGH ENTIRE DOOR 1 3 4 OR 1 3 8 45mm 35mm THICK THICK nann nanan READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
