3. Maintenance Ensure the air line is shut off and drained of air before removing this tool from service This will prevent the tool from operating if the throttle is accidentally engaged DAILY CLEAN UP A NOTE Clean the spray gun immediately after use remaining material Disconnect the compressor When you have finished spraying shut off the compressor and disconnect the air line from the gun Drain remaining material into a bucket until most of the texture material is out of the hopper Fill the hopper with clean water Remove the nozzle from the gun and allow water to flow through and out of the gun Flush until the gun is clean Remove the hopper from the gun and finish cleaning all components A soft brush may be used to help loosen any dried on material from the surface Connect the air line to the gun Turn on the compressor Open the gun air valve forcing air through the tip to clear out any Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Solution Material does not flow from the hopper Unable to spray material or sprays inefficiently Unable to get a satisfactory atomization Soak the material orifice in solvent to loosen the clog Trigger the material orifice several times Take off the air cap and material orifice clean the orifice using a bamboo or wooden toothpick Then wipe off the air
