G HEPA TYPE FILTERS The HEPA Type Filters with built in pre filter are supplied within the air purifier They are wrapped to ensure purity e Turn off and unplug the air purifier While pressing on the notches along the rear grille pull the grille towards you and remove it See Fig 2 Gently push along the edge of the filter frame and pull forward If replacing used filters you may pull the black ribbon tabs to remove the filter Repeat for the second filter Remove protective wrap from the filters Place back into the air purifier housing with black side facing out towards the rear grille and snap rear grille into place ENERGY STAR OPERATION e Ensure the air purifier is plugged into a working electrical outlet e Press the power button Y once The unit will start at high speed Fig 3 e Press the power button again to select a different cleaning level A LED light will illuminate to indicate which cleaning level you have selected Ill High Il Medium Low Portable air purifiers are more effective in rooms where all doors and windows are closed In general it is recommended that you run your air purifier while you are at home to clean the air ELECTRONIC FILTER CHECK REMINDER This model air purifier has an electronic filter check to remind you when to check and replace the HEPA Type filters based on the air purifier s hours of use A red LED light will illuminate when it is time to check

17. replace the filters When the HEPA Type filters need to be replaced the light will remain on until it is RESET You may unplug the air purifier without interrupting the filter check Will illuminate when it is time to replace HEPA Type filters You should periodically check the filter Depending on operating conditions the filters should be replaced every 4 months REPLACE WITH HEPA TYPE FILTER 7 To RESET the Electronic Filter Check When the filter check light remains on it is time to replace the HEPA Type filters and reset the filter monitor With the unit powered on press the Filter Reset button below the LED filter check light and hold for approximately 5 seconds until the light turns off Fig 4 Depending upon your individual usage environment and hours used you may need to check and replace the filters more or less frequently If the HEPA Type filters are replaced before the red LED light turns on the Filter Reset button should be reset at the same time NOTE The HEPA Type filters are not washable Do not immerse in water REPLACING THE HEPA TYPE FILTERS The 99 efficient HEPA Type filter has a built in odor absorbing pre filter This Dual Action iT replacement filter is not cleanable and should be replaced every 4 months to ensure optimal performance The replacement interval is intended as a guideline only Useful life expectancy of any filter media is dependent upon the concentration of contaminates going thro
