SAFETY amp QUALITY Thermestat Installation Instructions For Cadet UC Series Heaters FIGURE 1 Double Pole Thermostat Tools Required Phillips Screwdriver Insulated Wire Connectors Wire Nuts General Safety Information If you are uncomfortable working with electrical appliances unable to follow these guidelines or da not have tha necessary equipment consuit a licensed electrician Installation Instructions 5 Remove the plug from the front grill and attach grill to installed AWARNING at the electrical panel heater Install the provided thermostat knob on the thermostat board circuit breaker or fuse box and lock or tag shaft extending through the grill the panel board door to prevent someone from tum ing on power while you are working on the heater Failure to do so could result in serious electrical UC T2 DOUBLE POLE THERMOSTAT shock bums or possible death 1 Remove top cover off heater assembly UC T1 SINGLE POLE THERMOSTAT 2 Attach thermostat bracket to the inside surface of front of wall 1 Remove top cover off heater assembly can as shown in Figure 1 with screws provided 2 Attach thermostat bracket to the inside surface of frontof 3 Connect the red leads from the thermostat to each supply wire wall can as shown in Figure 1 with screws provided using insulated wire connectors 3 Connect the red lead from the thermostat to supply 4 Connect each black thermostat wire2. to each heater wire using wire using insulated wire connectors insulated wire connectors 4 Connect the black thermostat wire to heater wire 5 Remove the plug from the front grill and attach grill to installed using insulated wire connectors Note Remaining supply heater Install the provided thermostat knob on the thermostat and heater wire shouid be connected shaft extending through the grill Keep for future reference _ TEL 360 693 2505 Fax 360 694 6939 P O Sox 1675 Vancouver WA 98668 1675 720015 9 3 Wiring Diagrams_ WIRING DIAGRAM SINGLE POLE THERMOSTAT SUPPLY UNE HEATER GRD SUPPLY GRD SECONDARY UMIT THERMOSTAT RED WIRES HEATER ELEMENT O BLACK WIRES PRIMARY UMIT WIRING DIAGRAM UCT2 DOUBLE POLE THERMOSTAT SUPPLY UNE HEATER GRO SUPPLY GRD SECONDARY UMIT C THERMOSTAT BLACK WIRES PRIMARY UMIT
