Page 1 cover Features High Low Black border shows page size and should Page 3 inside mee USAGE HEATER OPERATION Always operate the heater in the upright position following all instructions and recommendations listed in this manual HEATER LOCATION Place the heater in the area of the room that is coldest HEATER CONNECTION Plug heater directly into 120 volt A C 60 Hz wall outlet Be sure plug fits tightly in outlet A loose connection may cause overheating and damage to the plug or heater NOTE To prevent overloading a circuit do not plug the heater into a circuit that is servicing other electrical needs POWER INDICATOR LIGHT This heater is equipped with a Power Indicator Light The power light will illuminate when the unit is plugged in TURNING HEATER ON To start the heater turn the Power Control dial from the OFF position to the LOW or HIGH setting Then rotate the Thermostat Control clockwise to the HIGH THERMOSTAT position as described below During the heaters initial use you may experience a slight odor or smoking This is the result of the heating element lubrication burning off This is normal and will go away after a few minutes of use Thermostat Control Power Indicator Light Power Control Dial POWER CONTROL DIAL This heater has two heat settings High and Low Use the higher setting 1500 watt to raise the room temperature quickly When the desired temperature2. your heater While using your heater you should follow the IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS listed below As part of those instructions we have used the word WARNING to indicate the level of hazard WARNING indicates a hazard which if not avoided could result in injury or death IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS As with all electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of electric shock fire or injury to persons including the following precautions eRead all the instructions before using this heater eUse this heater only as described in this manual Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause electrical shock fire or amage to persons or property eDo not operate the heater with a damaged power cord or after the heater malfunctions has been dropped in any manner eDo not leave heater unattended while on Extreme caution is necessary when any heater fan is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater fan is left operating unattended eDo not place the heater on a small unlevel uneven or any surface which might allow heater to tip or fall eFor proper operation heater should be placed on a smooth non combustible surface Do not place on rugs or carpeting eDo not leave heater unattended eAlways unplug heater when not in use eDo not operate the heater with heater guards or any safety device removed eDo not use an extension cord because the extension cord may over
