1. MOTOR HUB 4 Attach the flange blade assembly to the motor hub using the two pre installed 1 4 20 x 1 2 flange screws and lockwashers Make sure the screws are tightened securely Figure 4 Repeat this procedure for the other four blade assemblies 5 Screw the finial onto the center threaded stud of the motor housing until securely tighten Figure 5 6 Carefully turn the partially assembled fan right side up in preparation of final installation Rest the fan motor housing onto the packing styrofoam being careful not to bend the blades 7 Carefully place the glass shade over the fan motor housing resting it into the lower glass retainer Orintate the glass shade so that the larger lip is resting in the lower glass retainer per Figure 6 8 Remove the four knurled retainer screws from the motor housing and retain for future use FAN MOTOR HOUSING 9 Align the four holes of the upper glass retainer onto GLASS SHADE the fan motor housing and reinstall the four knurled retainer screws previously removed Securely tighten all four screws Figure 7 Figure 7 9 10 Remove the hanger ball by loosening the setscrew in the hanger ball until the ball falls freely down the downrod Figure 8 Remove the pin from the downrod then remove the hanger ball Retain the pin and hanger ball for reinstallation in Step 14 Separate untwist and unkink the two 80 motor leads Route the motor lead wires through the downr

6. g fan must be grounded as a precaution against possible electrical shock Electrical installation should be made or approved by a licensed electriclan DATE CODE 3 The outlet box and joist must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting at least 50 pounds Use only U L outlet boxes Ilsted as Acceptable for Fan Support of 15 9kg 35 Ibs or fess and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box Most outlet boxes commonly used for support of light fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced Consult a qualified electrician If in doubt 4 The downrod furnlshed with the fan proves the minimum recommended floor to fan blade clearance for an 8 foot ceiling 5 The fan must be mounted with the fan blades at least 7 feet from the floor to prevent accidental contact wlth the fan blades Follow the recommended instructions for the proper method of wiring your ceiling fan If you do not know enough about electrical wiring have your fan installed by a licensed electrician WARNING To reduce the risk of electrical shock this fan must be installed with an isolating wall control switch NOTE This fan is suitable for use with solid state speed controls WARNING To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock thls fan should only be used with fan speed control Mode No UC9020 manufactured by Rhine Electric Co Ltd WARNING This product is designed to use only
7. have your fan installed by a Ilcensed electrician Ceiling Fan Assembly 1 Remove one of the motor housing screws and retain for future use Loosen the remaining three motor housing screws for assembly of the lower glass retainer Figure 1 2 Place the lower glass retainer onto the motor housing and engage the key holes of the retainer onto the three motor housing screws Rotate the lower glass retainer clockwise and tighten the three motor housing screws Reinstall the motor housing screw previously removed into the remaining hole of the lower glass retainer and tighen all screws securely Figure 2 4 WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury do not bend the blade flange when Installing the blade flanges balancing the blades or cleaning the fan Do not insert foreign objects in between rotating fan blades 3 Mount blade flange to fan biade using four 10 32 x 5 16 slotted Phillips washers head screws and four paper washers Figure 3 Repeat this procedure for the remaining four blades and flanges MOTOR HOUSING MOTOR HOUSING SCREWS Figure 1 LOWER GLASS RETAINER Figure 2 10 32 x 5 16 SLOTTED PHILIPS WASHER HEAD SCREWS 4 per blade assembly 10 PAPER WASHERS 4 per blade assembly FAN BLADE BLADE FLANGE Figure 3 NOTE Take care not to scratch fan housing when FLANGE BLADE ASSEMBLY Installing blades 1 4 20 x 1 2 FLANGE SCREWS WITH LOCKWASHERS PRE ASSEMBLED 2
8. od Align the clevis pin holes in the downrod with the holes in the motor coupler Install the clevis pin and secure with the hairpin clip Figure 9 The clevis pin must go through the holes in the motor coupler and the holes in the downrod Be sure to push the straight leg of the hairpin clip through the hole near the end of the clevis pin until the curved portion of the hairpin clip snaps around the clevis pin The hairpin clio must be properly installed to prevent the clevis pin from working loose Pull on the downrod to make sure the clevis pin is properly installed 4 WARNING It is critical that the clevis pin in the motor coupler is properly installed and the setscrew securely tightened Faijure to verify that the pin and setscrew are properly installed as shown in Figure 9 could result In the fan falling 11 While pulling up on the downrod securely tighten the two setscrews in the motor coupler 12 Make sure the grommet is properly installed in the coupler cover then slide the coupler cover on the downrod until it rests on the motor housing Figure 10 13 Place the ceiling cover over the downrod Be sure that the ceiling cover and the coupler cover are both oriented correctly Figure 11 HANGER BALL SETSCREW K Figure 8 MOTOR COUPLING SETSCREW CLEVIS PIN i DOWNROD HAIRPIN CLIP SETSGREW GOUPLER COVER COUPLER OV 14 Reinstall the hanger ball Figure 12 on the down
9. rod as follows Route the three 80 motor leads through HANGER the hanger ball Position the pin through the two BALL holes in the downrod and align the hanger ball so the pin is captured in the groove in the top of the ane ER SPSS DOWNROD hanger ball Pull the hanger ball up tight against the pin and securely tighten the setscrew in the hanger ball A loose setscrew could create fan wobble SETSCREW 44 WARNING It is critical that the pin In the hanger ball is properly installed and the setscrew securely tlghtened Failure to verify that the pin and setscrew are properly Installed could result in the fan falling 15 The fan comes with black and white leads that are Figure 12 80 inches long Before installing the fan measure up approximately 6 to 9 inches above top of hanger ball downrod assembly Cut off excess leads and strip back insulation 1 2 inch from end of leads 16 You have now completed the assembly of your new ceiling fan You can now proceed with hanging and wiring your fan Electrical Requirements Your new ceiling fan will require a grounded electrical The outlet box must be securely anchored and capable supply line of 120 volts AC 60 Hz 15 amp circuit of withstanding a load of at least 50 pounds If your fan is to replace an existing ceiling light fixture A WARNING turn electricity off at the main fuse box at this time and remove the existing light fixture Turning off wall switch is not
