2. for the wall control for the correct color and wire connections electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or main fuse box i WARNING To avoid possible electrical shock be sure before wiring QQ Fan wall control RR Light wall control WARNING Check to see that all connections are tight SS Fan wall control output wire AN including ground and that no bare wire is visible at the wire TT Light wall control output wire nuts except for the ground wire Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your house supply wires Secure the wire nuts EE supplied with your fan by wrapping the connections with electrical tape Connect the black Il and blue JJ color wires from the fan to the hot wire black KK from ceiling Connect the white LL color wire from the fan to the neutral wire white MM from ceiling If there is a ground wire NN green color or bare copper color in your outlet box connect the green wire 00 from the fan to it If there is not a ground wire in your outlet box connect the green wire 00 from the fan to the green wire PP from the mounting bracket C Secure the wire connection with the plastic wire nuts EE Assembly Hanging the Fan continued 4 Attaching the fan motor assembly to the mounting plate After completing the electrical connections align the four screw holes between the mounting brack

5. eecranctevecer stevens 11 Operati mM oo incicccdicecscachis ce nseccceceesteetannadecedecennens edeeeesazane 13 Care and Cleaning ccccccecssesseseeeneeeeeeeeeeeeeeseneeneees 13 Troubleshooting ii nsaccssncsececcisaansaansnneceencndescdvenndudbenuacadaue 14 Service Parts wisisitcccccssctesccssciececssstnecsearseneccscecsenicccanss 15 Safety Information Read and save these instructions To reduce the risk of electric shock ensure electricity has been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code ANSI NFPA 70 1999 and local electrical codes Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35 Ibs Use only UL Listed outlet boxes marked FOR FAN SUPPORT The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning After making electrical connections spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully
6. et I and the mounting plate C Insert the mounting plate screws DD through the mounting bracket I and into the mounting plate C Tighten all screws securely 5 Finishing the fan installation Remove the two screws UU and loosen the two screws VV on the mounting plate C Install the fan housing E to the mounting plate C by aligning the key holes in the fan housing E with the two screws VV in the mounting plate C then lifting the fan housing E up and turning clockwise Re tighten the two screws VV and re install the two screws UU Tighten all screws securely HAMPTONBAY COM Please contact 1 800 527 0998 for further assistance Assembly Attaching the Fan Blades 6 Fastening the blade to the 7 Fastening the blade blade bracket assemblies to the motor Attach the fan blades A to the blade brackets B by Tighten the blade assemblies J onto the bottom of the using three blade screws AA and fiber washers BB motor by using the blade bracket screws CC Tighten screws AA and fiber washers BB securely Qab BB Oa CC 8 Attaching the light kit plate to the mounting ring Remove one of three mounting ring screws WW and loosen other two screws on the mounting ring K Place the key holes on the light kit plate F over the two mounting ring screws WW previously loosened from t
7. he mounting ring K and turn the light kit plate F until it locks in place at the narrow section of the key holes Secure the light kit plate F by tightening the two screws WW previously loosened and replacing the one previously removed Assembly Installing the Light Kit 9 Attaching the light kit to the light kit plate Remove the three screws XX on light kit plate F While holding the light kit assembly G under your fan firmly snap the wire connection plugs YY together Carefully push all wires back into the light kit G then install the light kit assembly G onto the light kit plate F with the three screws XX previously removed Be sure to tighten all screws securely XX lt lt 11 HAMPTONBAY COM Please contact 1 800 527 0998 for further assistance Assembly Installing the Light Kit continued 1 0 Installing the glass shades and bulbs To install the light kit glass shades H remove the socket rings ZZ on the light kit G and install the glass shades H to the light kit G Secure by tightening the socket rings ZZ previously removed Install the four 40W candelabra bulbs HH included Attach the pull chain fob FF to the chain on the light kit G Restore power and your light kit is ready for operations HH Operation Turn on the power and check the operation of your fan There are two p

13. ull chains used to operate your fan The 3 speed pull chain controls the fan speed as follows 1 pull High 2 pulls Medium 3 pulls Low and 4 pulls Off The light kit pull chain turns the light kit ON or OFF The reverse switch is located on the surface of the switch housing This switch controls directions forward switch left or reverse switch right NOTE Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of the blade rotation Warm weather Counterclockwise Direction A downward air flow creates a cooling effect This allows you to set your air conditioner on a higher setting without affecting your comfort Cool weather Clockwise Direction An upward air flow moves warm air off the ceiling This allows you to set your heating unit on a lower setting without affecting your comfort L le DAD IK Ae ae N Ta C C Care and Cleaning Do Check the support connections brackets and blade attachments twice a year Make sure they are secure Because of the fan s natural movement some connections may become loose over time It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling Clean your fan periodically Use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish The plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing Optional Apply a light coat of furniture polish to t
