1. NOTE The import safeguards and instructions appearing in the manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur Caution and carefulness are factors which cannot be built into any product These factors must be supplied by the person s caring for and operating the unit WARNING WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury The box must be supported directly by do not bend the blades when installing the building structure The box and its the blades balancing the blades or support must be able support the fan cleaning the fan Do not insert foreign weight must not twist or work loose objects between rotating fan blades Do not use plastic boxes WARNING The fan must be mounted with a minimum 10 feet 3 05 meters of clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor Installing motor housing and blade set 1 Align the blade with the iron plate from the motor see fig 1 Tighten the screws with the blade set 2 Remove four screws from the side of motor housing put the assembled fan inside center band and tighten center band with screws see fig 2 BLADE SET Putting Your Fan Together GN 1 Remove the two set screws from the motor coupling Remove the hairpin clip amp washe from the clevis pin and remove clevis pin from down rod BLADE SET 2 Insert the down rod through the center opening in the canopy canopy hole cover coupling cover and route the motor
2. operation 2 Connect the black wire from receiver to the black wire from fan with wire nut Connect the white wire from receiver to the white wire from fan with wire nut Connect the blue wire from fan with wire from receiver with wire nut Connect the green wire from ceiling and green wire from hanger bracket with green wire from hanger ball with wire nut see fig 8 WHITE WIRE OUTLEX BOX WASHER wa ASHER RECEIVER Gp Maes UNIT SCREW FIG 5 ___ HANGER BRACKET RECEIVER UNIT FIG 6 SAFETY f BANGER CABLE NM wastes gt f powon WASHE SCRE FIG 7 BLACK WIRE WHITE WIRE BLUE WIRE FIG 8 3 Loosen the two canopy mounting screws from the hanger bracket Mount the canopy on the two screws in the hanger bracket and twist the canopy so the screw heads hold the canopy in place Retighten the two screws see fig 9 Installing the Light Kit 1 Connect the light wires from the fan with the wires from the light kit plate remove one screw and loosen the other two from the light kit adaptor Align the screw hole from light kit plate with the screws on light kit adaptor and tighten all three screws see fig 10 2 Plug the bulbs into the sockets Be careful not to touch the glass area of the bulb hold with tissue during installation as oil from your hands can cause early lamp failure 3 Position the indentations in the outer rim of the glass shade so that they line up with t
3. leads through the hanger ball down rod assembly Align the clevis pin holes in the down rod FIG 2 with the holes in the motor coupling The clevis pin must pass though the holes in MU Ng BAND the motor coupling and the down rod Place the washer onto the clevis pin and install the hairpin clip making sure to push straight leg of the hairpin clip through the hole near hanger ball to make sure the clevis pin is properly installed see fig 3 Hanging Your Ceiling Fan FIG 3 1 Securely attach the hanger bracket to the HANGER BALL DOWNR SN outlet box by washers and screws supplied ASSEMBLY in ed ST R Connect white wire from ceiling to white CANOPY HOLE gt SR wire from receiver with wire nut Connect COUPLING COVER Sex J HAIREIN yis black wire from ceiling to black wire J from receiver with wire nut see fig 4 FIG 4 2 Carefully lift the fan and seat the down rod and ball assembly on the hanger bracket Be sure the groove in the ball is lined up with tab on the hanger bracket Do not pinch wires between the ball and down rod assembly and hanger bracket see fig 5 amp 6 3 Install the safety cable into the building structure see fig 7 Wiring Your Ceiling Fan Caution To avoid possible electrical shock be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring 1 If you are not sure that the electrical box is grounded contact a licensed electrician for advice It must be grounded for safe

CEILING FAN INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL MODEL NUMBER AC 17723 READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS D 10 11 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WARNING INSTALLATION SHOULD BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICAN To ensure the success of the installation be sure to read the instructions and review the diagrams thoroughly before beginning All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes ordinances or National Electrical Code If you are unfamiliar with methods of installing electrical wiring secure the services of a qualified electrician Make sure that your installation will not allow rotating fan blades to come in contact with any object If you are installing more than one ceiling fan make sure that you do not mix fan blade sets Only mount fan to outlet box marked acceptable for ceiling fan Installation to a concrete ceiling should be performed by a qualified electrician Before beginning disconnect power by removing fuse or turning off circuit breaker After fan is completely installed make sure that all connections are secured to prevent fan from falling Do no insert anything into the fan blades while ceiling fan is operating The fan must be mounted with the blades at least 3 05m from the floor to minimize the possibility of accidental contact with the fan blades The supply wires Live amp Neutral must be connected to wall switch double poles having a contact separation at least 3mm in all poles
