1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Item 4159 172 New 02 06 2012 READ AND SAVE TH JWER OFF A HANGING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 1 Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included as shown in the iflustration 2 Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker If necessary remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware 3 Attach the mounting plate A to the junction box using screws B Size 8 32N LO 5 as shown in Fig 2 The side of the mounting plate marked GND must face out SUGGESTED INSTALLATION Fig 2 4 Thread the tube N to nipple O Then slide the smooth side of the bar M into the hole of the housing P and thread the bar M to the arm L Then slide the smooth side of the short bar R to the hole of the housing P and thread the short bar R to the arm S 5 Determine the desired hanging height and thread rods F1 F2 and F3 to coupling Q Pass the wires carefully through each rod as you assemble 6 Place the canopy C over the rods F and thread the hanger ball E to the rods F Please remove the nipple if installing with one 6 rod only 7 Lace the safety cable through the set screw assembly to the desired length and secure it to the ceiling joist Then secure the cable by re tighten the screws Next attach the safety cable to the hanger ball with the screw provided 8 Install the fixture body into the mounting2. 1 D Screw 2 E Hanger Ball 4 b Hardware Bag 8 F4 ROD 12 hy F2 ROD 122 F3 ROD 6 1 j Page 2 2 LA 2145E
3. plate A by tilting at a slight angle so that the hanger ball E slips into the mounting plate A as shown Align the notch in the hanger ball E to the tab on the mounting plate A to prevent the fixture from turning f CONNECTING THE WIRES Fig 3 9 At this point connect the electrical wires as shown in figure 3 making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your outlet has a ground wire green or bare copper connect the ground wires from the hanger bail and mounting plate to it Otherwise connect the ground wire from the hanger ball directly to the mounting plate ground wire and secure with the wire connectors provided After wires are connected tuck them carefully Fig 3 into the ceiling junction box J COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION Fig 1 wees 10 Align the canopy C over the mounting plate A and Smooth secure with screws D 11 Place glass shade I and metal cup H over the socket K and secure them with socket shell G using the tool T provided 12 Install the bulb s included in accordance with the fixture s specifications DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE While i fNeutra Your installation is now complete Return power to the Eee junction box and test the fixture li HA american ii lighting assaciation L isrEg Page 1 2 LA 2145E Intertek Fig 2 a Hardware Bag A Mounting Plate 1 C Canopy
