1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Item 4943 New 05 08 2013 READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER AVERTISSEMENT COUPER LE COURANT AU NIVEAU DES FUSIBLES OU DU DISJONCTEUR ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 and Fig 4 Fig 1 1 Shut off the power at the fuse box or circuit breaker If Set A 012 necessary remove the old fixture including mounting hardware Crossbar 2 Carefully remove the new fixture from the carton and check that Ground screw all parts are included as shown in the illustration Mounting Screw 2 3 Adjust the arms to proper position Fig 4 4 Attach fixture loop A by screwing to nipple F HANGING THE FIXTURE Fig 2 5 Thread the nipple into the ceiling loop until snug 6 Thread the other end of the nipple with the ceiling loop attached into the crossbar until snug 7 Place lock washer over the end of nipple protruding through crossbar and thread hex nut onto nipple until snug 8 Take this crossbar assembly and mount to the ceiling junction box with the mounting screws Size 8 32N LO 5 provided Secure mounting screws with a screwdriver The side of crossbar marked GND must face out Fi g 2 9 By measuring determine the correct number of links needed for the desired hanging height 10 Attach the chain to the fixture loop A using a quick link Quick link must be completely threaded closed when installed Use a pair of chain pliers to open on2. e end link of the chain and discard un wanted chain Slip the lock collar and canopy over the chain 11 Use the chain pliers to open the other end link of the chain and lift the fixture to attach to the ceiling loop close the chain link Lock Collar 12 Lace the fixture wires through the chain and through the ceiling loop and nipple and pull until tight CONNECTING THE WIRE Fig 3 13 At this point connect the electrical wire as shown in figure 3 making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your outlet box has a ground wire green or bare copper connect the fixture s ground wire to it Otherwise connect the fixture s ground wire directly to the crossbar using the Green Screw provided 14 Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling junction box Chain HCH7072 and raise the canopy all the way to the ceiling Raise the Lock Collar and thread onto the ceiling loop protruding through wm _ SPI Fig 3 FIXTURE __ D FIXTUREC D FINISHING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 WIRES WIRES WIRES 15 Place the tube C over the socket E Smooth Hlbeed Poo 16 Install the light bulb s not included in accordance with the fixture s specifications DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING NE PAS DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE Clip the fabric shade s D onto the Bulb s Dy Junction Box Ceiling Hex Nut Lock Washer Nipple Moun
3. ting Screws Chain End link Quick Link Fixture Loop Green Ground Your installation is now complete Return power to the junction Fig 4 box and test the fixture Note Illustration Fig 1 on this manual is for installation purposes only It may or may not be identical to the fixture purchased Notice It is important to use proper chain pliers not included To OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this fixture Do ype not open them with other tools that may twist or stress the g chain links It is important to use proper chain pliers like the ones shown in the diagram LA 2289E
