1. WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Model 8698 8798 READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS MOUNTING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 1 2 Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture including the mounting hardware Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area Take care not to misplace any small parts necessary for installation Unscrew the finial I with the rubber washer J take apart the back plate H apart from the cage K Carefully install the glass sheets A B amp C into cage K Secure the glass at the top with long studs L and screws M Secure them at the bottom with short studs N and screws O Thread the two studs B into the pre drilled holes in the circular strap C spaced the same distance apart as the holes in the back plate H and secure with the nut E Attach the circular strap C using outlet box screws F to the outlet box A Fig 1 CONNECTING THE WIRES Fig 2 7 Connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig 2 Making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your outlet box has a ground wire green or bare copper connect the fixture s ground wire to it Otherwise connect the fixture s ground wire directly to the circular strap using the green screw D provided FINISHING THE INSTALLATION 8 9 10 11 Align the back plate H to studs B and secure with cap nuts G F2. ig 1 At this point install the light bulbs in accordance with the fixture specification DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WATTAGE RATING To prevent moisture from entering the outlet box A and causing a short use clear silicone Sealant to outline the outside of fixture back plate H where it meets the wall leaving a space at bottom to allow moisture a means to escape Replace the cage K and secure with rubber washer J and finial l Your installation is now complete Return power to the outlet box and test the fixture Fig 1 if Le MiA F 409 bf an c nibs Te O N g oss Fig 2 FIXTURE 7 gt FIXTURE Z Rn R WRES WRES GREEN OR BLACK a VH TE BARE E COPPER GROUND W RES CA WRES WRES BLACK VWH TE GREEN OR HOT NEUTRAL BARE CCPPER GROUND CAUTION RISK OF FIRE CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO ENSURE CORRECT BRANCH CIRCUIT CONDUCTOR gt american KV Listen Intertek lighting association
