1. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS For Model 1687 14 New 01 23 2003 WARNING SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER MOUNTING THE FIXTURE Fig 1 1 Shut off power at the circuit breaker and remove old fixture from ceiling including the crossbar 2 Carefully unpack your new fixture and lay out all the parts on a clear area Take care not to lose any small parts necessary for installation 3 Thread two Studs E about 1 4 into the pre drilled holes in the Circular Strap D spaced the same distance apart as the holes in the canopy of Fixture Body 4 Attach the Circular Strap D to the Outlet Box G using the two Screws F The side of the Circular Strap marked GND must face out 5 Hang the fixture by placing Fixture Body C over both Studs E and secure Fixture Body against ceiling with Knurled Knobs H CONNECTING THE WIRES Fig 2 6 While holding the Fixture Body C towards the ceiling connect the electrical wires as shown in Fig 2 making sure that all wire connectors are secured If your outlet has a ground wire green or bare copper connect the fixture s Ground Wire to it Otherwise i i Fig 2 connect the fixture s Ground Wire directly to the Circular Strap using the Green Screw provided After pCO WIRES wires are connected tuck them carefully into the Smoon 4 Ribbed ceiling Junction Box SHADE INSTALLATION Fig 1 7 Install the light bulb in accordance with fixtures specificat2. ions CAUTION Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating 8 Place the Glass Shade B into the Shade Frame A 9 Attach Shade Frame A with Glass Shade B inside onto the Fixture Body C using joints of Fixture Body as shown in Fig 1 HOUSE Your installation is now complete Return power to the junction box and test the fixture LA 662E FIXTURE WIRES Bare Copper Ground HOUSE WIRES Green Ground american lighting association
