Shake it gently DO NOT shake forcibly The filter will release a black residue that will turn the water a dark color as its being rinsed this is normal Continue with this process until there is no more dark water coming out Fig 3 Clean the Lower Barrel Inner Tank and Floating Valve by rinsing them with running tap water ATTENTION When cleaning the Floating Valve DO NOT remove the Rubber Gasket Fig 4 ASSEMBLING THE HONEYWELL WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM WARNING The Floating Valve is not designed to withstand the weight from the Lower Barrel It must NEVER be obstructed and be allowed to operate freely 1 Ifyou have a Honeywell water dispenser remove the water bottle base from the top of the dispenser by turning it clockwise or counter clockwise depending on the model A similar procedure should apply to other brands of water dispensers Please contact your water dispenser s manufacturer if further instructions are needed Fig 5 Water Bottler Active Carbon Cartridge Retaining Ring Inner Tank 2 Screw on the Floating Valve to the bottom of the Lower Barrel Fig 6 Place the Lower Barrel with the Floating Valve attached on top of the water dispenser Make sure the Lower Barrel sits properly level and secure on top of the water dispenser Once the Floating Valve is attached to the Lower Barrel it will remain suspended inside the water dispenser Fig 7 To Install the Active Carbon Filter turn t

4. and cold water tanks are empty Always have water nside the tanks before turning ON any switch 1 Drain the water from the faucets one at a time by pushing on the hot and cold levers until no more water remains Proceed to drain all the remaining water from the unit through the drain plug Please refer to your water dispenser s operating manual or contact your water dispenser s manufacturer for instructions WARNING Never use Hot water to fill the water filtration system 6 INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING YOUR WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM ADDING WATER Lift the Top Cover to open the Upper Barrel Use a pitcher to slowly fill the Inner Tank with tap water Allow the water to drip from the Upper Barrel through the filters down into the Lower Barrel this may take several minutes WARNING To avoid overflowing only add water when the Lower Barrel is 1 3 full 7 MAINTENANCE WARNING e The Honeywell Water Filtration System should be cleaned every 3 to 6 months to avoid sediment deposits on its surface The frequency will depend on the quality of water being used Before cleaning the water filtration system switch OFF your water dispenser and remove the plug from the power socket Never use corrosive elements or any chemicals to clean this product When the product is not in use store the unit in a dry place out of the direct sunlight CLEANING YOUR WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM e To clean the outside of the system use
