KNOW YOUR AIR PURIFIER When using the air purifier for the first time in a room we recommend that you use a higher fan speed like speed three 3 or Turbo T for at least two hours in order to clean the room s air initially Then we recommend that the air purifier run continuously on speed two 2 or three 3 or be set on automatic mode Features HEPA style filtration captures dust allergens and airborne pollutants lonizer charges smaller particles causing them to clump together for improved filtration 4 fan speeds with a 4 8 amp 12 hour timer to control air circulation Automatic mode sets speed for optimal performance Filter change indicator light keeps replacements on schedule Simple and intuitive touch button controls Auto off safety feature when front cover is removed Filter designed for easy replacement CARE amp MAINTENANCE Turn The Lights Off On To turn the lights off on your unit press the b Power Button The lights will go out but the unit will not turn off Press any button to turn the lights back on or press the b Power Button a 2nd time to turn the unit off completely Replacing The Filter The Filter Life Indicator has 3 lights Green Yellow and Red The Green light will be illuminated for most of the life of the filter Yellow light will come on shortly before your filter should be replaced This is the ideal time to order a new filter You may order a new filter at www alencorp com filters or by calling 1 82. 6. e lower part of the cover will Snap into place qualified personnel only To reduce the risk of electric shock do not perform any servicing WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK These servicing instructions are for use by other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so How To Clean The SmartSensor The SmartSensor uses an infrared light to detect airborne particles After prolonged periods of use dust can accumulate on the glass lens and affect the sensitivity of the sensor If this occurs your unit will run on the highest speeds when set in Automatic mode and will not come down to the lower speeds even after cleaning the air To clean the sensor lens first turn your unit off Wet the end of a cotton swab with water and wipe the lens with it Dry the lens with the other end of the cotton swab For best performance clean the SmartSensor lens each time you replace your filter www AlenCorp com 1 800 630 2396 I TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS How do reset the filter indicator lights I put in a new filter but the red or yellow lights are still illuminated After changing the filter RESET the filter indicator by holding down the FILTER LIFE button for 5 seconds while the unit is ON The light above the FILTER LIFE button should reset to green My BreatheSmart always runs on the highest speeds when in Automatic Mode The BreatheSmart unit may not come down from the highest speeds when in Automa
