1. 5338DOME 4438DOME Egress Well Cover A 2 Installation Instructions Products 5 Tension Spring Clips 5 5 3 16 Bolts 3 16 Cap Nuts 1 Place the Egress Dome over the well Push it tight against the house If the cover doesn t fit symmetrically the steel well may be bent out of shape Use a sledge hammer to tap the well to allow the cover to fit 2 Once properly fitted place the cover back over the egress well Be sure to center the cover on your well Using a dry erase marker mark the locations where you will attach your clips The holes should be marked at the center of the rim of your well See Figure A 3 Remove the cover from your well and drill a 3 16 hole at each marked location P 4 Mount the clips to your cover using the cap nut and bolt provided Tighten the screw until there is about 1 4 of space in the spring clip See Figure B Warning Do not over tighten the spring clip 5 Snap the cover onto the rim of your well Adjust the spring clip tension as needed by loosening or tightening the cap nuts so the cover stays securely in place but remains removable for cleaning and emergency exit Note On U Shaped and other less common egress wells there may only be enough space to install one tension clip on each side and one in the front center See figure C Note the edges of the cover may overlap a bit more on u shaped and other wells This fit is considered acceptable as long as there is2. a minimum of 2 3 tension clips installed See Back for Cleaning Information and Warranty Shape Products 1821 Indianhead Drive Menomonie WI 54751 Phone 715 232 0495 www ShapeProducts com Ar m 5338 amp 4438 DOME Siding Adapter Kit Products The 5 forward slant of the Egress Dome is designed to accommodate insulation amp siding that project beyond the foundation above the top of the window well In some cases the Dome will be positioned against a flat surface at a 90 angle This application will create a gap up to 3 along the top and sides of the Egress Dome To enclose this gap the Dome Adapter Kit may be a desirable solution The 3 piece clear polycarbonate panels Fig 1 easily attach to the Dome to fully enclose any gap surrounding the foundation or siding Fig 2 The panels can be trimmed for a customized fit Please contact your retailer for pricing and order information or call Shape Products Customer Service at 715 232 0495 Clear Polycarbonate Panels fora Finished Look Pre Drilled Panels for Ease of Placement e Includes Easy to Install Instructions amp Hardware Trimmable for a Custom Fit Around Siding amp Foundation Cleaning Polycarbonate Window Well Covers may be cleaned using a mild solution of detergent and water The use of harsh chemicals or solvants may damage plastic and void warranty Shape Products LLC warrants the 5338DOME Egress Cover for a period of five 5 years from the d
