A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety shock hazard Ensure that the cut off plug is disposed of safely Should the appliance power supply cable need to be replaced this must be carried out by our Service Force Centre The power supply cable must be easily accessible after installing the appliance Permanent connection In the case of permanent connection it is necessary that you install a double pole switch between the appliance and the electricity supply mains with a minimum gap of 3mm between the switch contacts and of a type suitable for the required load in compliance with the current electrical regulations The switch must not break the yellow and green earth cable at any point Fitting under a counter WARNING Before any work to the appliance you must disconnect the plug from the power socket If the counter is too low and it becomes necessary to remove the top lid of the washer dryer a steel plate known as a height reduction kit must be used Important For safety reasons it is dangerous to fit the appliance under a counter without the steel plate which you can order in your nearest Service Force Centre The top must be fixed to the cabinet as follows Unscrew the screws from the back panel of the appliance Push the worktop to the back and raise it to remove see the picture above Environmental concerns Packaging materials The materials ma

Too much detergent or unsuitable detergent creates too much foam has been used e Reduce the detergent quantity or use another one Check whether there are any leaks from one of the inlet hose fittings It is not always easy to see this as the water runs down the hose check to see if it is damp e Check the water inlet hose connection The inlet hose is damaged e Replace it with a new one The emergency emptying cap has not been replaced on the filter after cleaning Refit the emergency emptying cap on the filter Too little detergent or unsuitable detergent has been used Increase the detergent quantity or use another one Stubborn stains have not been treated prior to washing e Use commercial products to treat the stubborn stains The correct temperature was not selected e Check if you have selected the correct temperature Excessive laundry load e Reduce the laundry load ZANUSSI The door will not open The machine vibrates or is noisy Spinning starts late or the machine does not spin The machine makes an unusual noise The programme is still running e Wait until the end of washing cycle The door lock has not been released e Wait a few minutes There is water in the drum Select drain or spin programme to empty out the water The transit bolts and packing have not been removed e Check the correct installation of the appliance The support feet have not been adjusted e Check

Any necessary adjustment can be made with a spanner Accurate levelling prevents vibration noise and displacement of the machine during operation Never place cardboard wood or similar materials under the machine to compensate for any unevenness in the floor 31 Special conditions If the floor is carpeted or covered with crumbly or soft material insert a rigid support base under the feet to prevent noise vibration or displacement The base should protrude a few centimetres beyond the edges of the machine WARNING The machine should NOT be placed on deep pile carpeting NOTE Please ensure that when the appliance is installed it is easily accessible for the engineer in the event of a breakdown Water inlet The inlet hose is already screwed on the back of the appliance 1 Set the hose correctly by loosening the ring nut After positioning the inlet hose be sure to tighten the ring nut again to prevent leaks A Attention Do not place the inlet hose downwards Angle the hose to the left or right depending on the position of your water tap 2 This appliance must be connected to a cold water supply Connect the hose to a tap with a 3 4 thread The inlet hose must not be lengthened If it is too short and you do not wish to move the tap you will have to purchase a new longer hose specially designed for this type of use 32 NOTE Installation should comply with local water

8. impossible to start the machine e after pressing the button H it will be impossible to change any other programme or option To enable disable this option press simultaneously for about 6 seconds buttons and B until the icon amp appears disappears on from the display ZANUSSI Acoustic signals The machine is supplied with an acoustic device which sounds in the following cases e atthe end of the cycle e in the event of operating problems By pressing the buttons H and simultaneously for about 6 seconds the acoustic signal is deactivated except for the events of operating problems By pressing these 2 buttons again the acoustic signal is reactivated Operating sequence Washing only Washing 1 Load the laundry Open the door by carefully pulling the door handle outwards Place the laundry in the drum one item at a time shaking them out as much as possible Close the door Measure out the detergent and the fabric softener Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops Measure out the amount of detergent required pour it into the main wash compartment LIL and if you wish to carry out the prewash phase pour it into the compartment marked LU If required pour fabric softener into the compartment marked 3 the amount used must not exceed the MAX mark in the drawer Close the drawer gently Select the required programme by turning the programme selector dial ij Turn the

10. programme selector dial to the required programme The green light of button B starts to flash On position Off the programme is reset and the machine is switched off 18 At the end of the programme the selector dial must be turned to position Off to switch the machine off IMPORTANT If you turn the programme selector dial to another programme when the machine is working the red light of button K will flash 3 times and the message Err is displayed to indicate a wrong selection The machine will not perform the new selected programme Select the spin speed or No Spin or Rinse Hold option by pressing button Bj When selecting a programme the light corresponding to the maximum speed allowed for that programme will illuminate refer to the section Programme table for the maximum allowed by each cycle spin speed The relevant light will light up Select the desired option by pressing the buttons J and EJ Depending on the programme different functions can be combined These must be selected after choosing the desired programme and before pressing the button K The relevant light will light up In any case if an option is chosen that is not allowed with the selected programme the message Err will be displayed on the display for a few seconds and the red light of the button K start flashing IMPORTANT For the compatibility of the options with the washing programmes please refer to the Programme t
11. remove the mains plug from the socket Proceed as follows Unplug the appliance e if the appliance is operating wait if necessary until the water has cooled down open the pump door levering on the groove with a coin e place a bowl with a small edge close to the pump to collect any spillage Care and cleaning pull out the emergency emptying cap from the filter cover using a pliers e When no more water comes out unscrew the pump cover by turning it anti clockwise using pliers and remove the filter Always keep a rag nearby to dry up any water spillages when removing the cover Clean the filter under a tap to remove any traces of fluff e Remove foreign bodies and fluff from the pump seat and from the pump impeller e Check carefully whether the pump impeller rotates it rotates jerkily If it doesn t rotate please contact your Service Centre e Replace the filter into the pump by inserting it correctly into the special guides Screw the pump cover firmly by turning it clockwise ZANUSSI e Replace the emergency emptying cap into the filter cover and fix it firmly IMPORTANT When the appliance is in use and depending on the programme selected there can be hot water in the pump Never remove the pump cover during a wash cycle always wait until the appliance has finished the cycle and is empty When replacing the cover ensure it is securely retigh
12. they should therefore be washed separately the first time Make sure that no metal objects are left in the laundry e g hair clips safety pins pins Button up pillowcases close zip fasteners hooks and poppers Tie any belts or long tapes Remove persistent stains before washing Rub particularly soiled areas with a special detergent or detergent paste Treat curtains with special care Remove hooks or tie them up in a bag or net 14 Avoid drying dark clothes with light coloured fluffy items such as towels as these can attract the fluff Remove the laundry when the appliance has finished drying To avoid a static charge when drying is com pleted use either a fabric softener when you are washing the laundry or a fabric conditioner specifically for tumble dryers Particularly delicate items such as synthetic curtains woollen and silk garments with metal inserts nylon stockings bulky garments such as anoraks bedcovers quilts sleeping bags and duvets must not be machine dried Garments padded with foam rubber or materi als similar to foam rubber must not be machine dried they represent a fire hazard Also fabrics containing residues of setting lotions or hair sprays nail solvents or similar solutions must not be machine dried in order to avoid the formation of harmful vapours For drying follow the indications given on the manufacturer s labels g May be tumble dried Q Drying at high temperature Dryin
13. you over fill Refer to the manufacturer s recommendations of quantities e Wash small items such as socks laces washable belts etc in a washing bag or pillow case as it is possible for such items to slip down between the tub and the inner drum e Do not use your washer dryer to wash articles with whalebones material without hems or torn material ZANUSSI e Always unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply after use cleaning and maintenance e Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the machine yourself Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning Contact your local Service Centre Always insist on genuine spare parts Installation e This appliance is heavy Care should be taken when moving it e When unpacking the appliance check that it is not damaged If in doubt do not use it and contact the Service Centre e All packing and transit bolts must be removed before use Serious damage can occur to the product and to property if this is not adhered to See relevant section in the user manual e After having installed the appliance check that it is not standing on the inlet and drain hose and the worktop is not pressing the electrical supply cable e lf the machine is situated on a carpeted floor please adjust the feet in order to allow air to circulate freely under the appliance e Always be sure that there is no water leakage from hoses and thei

17. able Start the programme by pressing button KJ To start the selected programme press this button the corresponding green pilot light stops flashing The appliance starts operating and the door is locked To interrupt a programme which is running depress the button Bal the corresponding green pilot light starts to flash To restart the programme from the point at which it was interrupted press the same button again IMPORTANT If an incorrect option is selected the red pilot light of the button J flashes 3 times and the message Err is displayed for a few seconds Altering an option or a running programme It is possible to change some options before the programme carries it out Before you make any change you must pause the washer dryer by pressing the button B Changing a running programme is possible only by resetting it Turn the programme selector dial to Off and then to the new programme position Start the new programme by depressing the button K again The washing water in the tub will not be emptied out Interrupting a programme Press the button K to interrupt a programme which is running the corresponding light starts to flash Press the same button again to restart the programme Cancelling a programme Turn the selector dial to Off to cancel a programme which is running You can now select a new programme ZANUSSI Opening the door after the programme has started First set the mach
18. ance of nature The choice of detergent will depend on the type of fabric delicates woollens cottons etc the colour washing temperature and degree of soiling All commonly available washer dryer detergents may be used in this appliance e powder detergents for all types of fabric e powder detergents for delicate fabrics 60 C max and woollens e liquid detergents preferably for low temperature wash programmes 60 C max for all types of fabric or special for woollens only The detergent and any additives must be placed in the appropriate compartments of the dispenser drawer before starting the wash programme If using concentrated powder or liquid detergents a programme without prewash must be selected The washer dryer incorporates a recirculation system which allows an optimal use of the concentrated detergent Pour liquid detergent into the dispenser drawer compartment marked LIL just before starting the programme Any fabric softener or starching additives g be poured into the compartment marked before starting the wash programme Follow the product manufacturer s recommendations on quantities to use and do not exceed the MAX mark in the detergent dispenser drawer Quantity of detergent to be used The type and quantity of detergent will depend on the type of fabric load size degree of soiling and hardness of the water used Water hardness is classified in so called degrees of
