1. At the end of this phase the pilot light 9 goes off and the door can be opened Note If you whish to open the door before or during the anti crease phase or to interrupt it press any button or turn the programme selec tor dial to any programme position except O the door can be immediately opened 7 Turn the selector dial to the O position to switch the machine off Remove the laun dry 19 Autodrying NON STOP programme Warning For NON STOP programmes it is essential not to exceed the maximum load sizes of 3 5 kg for cotton and 2 kg for synthetics Note Only with the timed drying it is possible also to dry up to 5 kg of cotton items see the drying time table Do not use a dosing device ball when carry ing out a washing amp drying programme 1 Load the laundry 2 Add detergent and fabric softener 3 Switch the machine on by turning the selector dial to the selected wash pro gramme fabric 4 Select the dryness degree or the drying time by pressing button 3 and 4 The dis play shows the entire duration of the wash ing and the selected drying cycle 5 Select the required options by means of the relevant buttons If possible do not select a spin speed lower than that pro posed by the appliance to avoid a too long drying time so saving energy In any case the reduction of the spin speed is only possible after selecting drying The lowest value with AUTOMATIC DRYING is 9

5. in the sink or connect ed to the drain pipe 1 Load the laundry 2 Turn the selector dial to Cotton or Synthetics programme in the Drying sector 3 For the automatic drying Store dry only for ee or lron dry press the button 5 until the light corresponding to the desired dryness degree illuminates 4 For the timed drying press the button 4 until the time you want appears on the dis play see the drying programmes Every time you press this button the drying time increases by 5 mins Note The programme time will automatically increase by up to 2 minutes This is quite normal 5 Press button 8 to start the programme After the programme has started the time remaining is updated every minute ZANUSSI Note The different type of cottons towelling sheets shirts and so on or any laundry items rolling up during the spinning phase may result in partial dryness In the exceptional case that at the end of the cycle the laundry remains slightly wet we suggest that you unfold the rolled up items redistribute them evenly in the drum and select an additional drying cycle of 20 30 minutes 6 At the end of the programme the buzzer sounds A flashing zero will appear on the display At this point begins the anti crease phase which lasts for about 10 minutes During this time the light 9 is alight the door can not be opened and the display keeps showing three flashing zeros 6

9. the water tap if necessary wait until the water has cooled down open the pump door using the suitable tool place a bowl with a small edge close to the pump to collect any spillage Remove the emergency emptying cap from the filter cover The water should drain by gravity into the bowl When the bowl is full put the cap back on filter cover Empty the bowl Repeat the procedure until water stops flowing out clean the pump if necessary as previously described replace the filter into the pump and screw it firmly as previously described replace the emergency emptying cap into the filter cover and close the pump door ZANUSSI Something not working IMPORTANT Certain problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversights which can be solved easily without calling out an engineer Before contacting your local Service Centre please carry out the checks listed below During machine operation it is possible that the red pilot light of the button 8 flashes the buzzer sounds and one of the following alarm codes appears on the display to indicate that the machine is not working e 72 problem with the water supply e 22 problem with water draining e 4 door open Once the problem has been eliminated press the button 8 to restart the programme If after all checks the problem persists contact your local Service Centre The door has not been closed E42 Close firmly the door The plug is not properly ins

13. ble this option press simoultaneously for about 6 seconds 2 and 3 buttons until the icon appears disappears on from the display Acoustic signals The machine is provided of an acoustic device which sounds in the following cases e at the end of the cycle e in the event of operating problems By pressing the 4 and 5 buttons simultaneously for about 6 seconds the acoustic signal is deactivated except for the events of operating problems By pressing these buttons again the the acoustic signal is reactivated 2 Measure out the detergent and the fabric softener Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops Measure out the amount of detergent required 15 pour it into the main wash compartment LIL and if you wish to carry out a programme with the prewash phase pour it into the compartment marked LU If required pour fabric softener into the compartment marked the amount used must not exceed the MAX mark in the drawer Close the drawer gently Select the required programme by means ofthe programme selector dial 1 Turn the programme selector dial to the required programme The green light of button 8 starts to flash It can be turned either clockwise or anticlockwise On position O the programme is reset and the machine is switched OFF At the end of the programme the selector dial must be turned to position O to switch the machine off IMPORTANT If you turn the program

15. ck that the machine does not touch the wall or other kitchen units Levelling Level the washer dryer by raising or lowering the feet The feet may be tight to adjust as they incorporate a self locking nut but the machine MUST be level and stable If necessary check the setting with a spirit level 31 Any necessary adjustment can be made with a spanner Accurate levelling prevents vibration noise and displacement of the machine during operation Never place cardboard wood or similar materials under the machine to compensate for any unevenness in the floor Some vibration is inevitable especially if mounted on a wooden floor Sprung woden floors are particularly susceptible to vibration For advice consult a builder If possible always place the machine on a solid floor Water inlet Warning This appliance must be connected to a cold water supply Connect the hose to a tap with a 3 4 thread Always use the hose supplied with the appliance The inlet hose must not be lengthened If it is too short and you do not wish to move the tap you will have to purchase a new longer hose specially designed for this type of use Do not use the hose from your previous machine to connect to the water supply 2 The other end of the inlet hose which connects to the machine can be turned as showed in the picture Do not place the inlet hose downwards Angle the hose to the left or right depending on the p
16. dren being able to remove it Cleaning the water inlet filter If your water is very hard or contains traces of lime deposit the water inlet filter may become clogged It is therefore a good idea to clean it from time to time Turn off the water tap Unscrew the water inlet hose Clean the filter using a hard bristle brush Tighten up the inlet hose The dangers of freezing If the machine is exposed to temperatures below 0 C certain precautions should be taken pull out the plug from the power socket 23 Emergency emptying out If the water is not discharged proceed as follows to empty out the machine turn off the water tap unscrew the inlet hose place a bowl with a small edge close to the pump to collect any spillage from the emergency emptying hose Place the end of the inlet hose in a bowl placed on the floor and let water drain out screw the water inlet hose back on and reposition the emergency emptying cap on again into the filter cover when you intend to start the machine up again make sure that the room temperature is above 0 C IMPORTANT Every time you drain the water through the emergency emptying hose you must pour 2 litres of water into the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer and then run the drain programme This will activate the ECO VALVE device avoiding that part of the detergent remains unused at next washing 24 pull out the plug from the power socket close
