YOUR RANGE Adjusting the oven temperature control Oven temperature controls will gradually shift after years of use So even though your new oven is properly adjusted to provide accurate temperatures it may cook faster or slower than your old oven If after using the oven for a period of time you are not satisfied with the temperature settings you can adjust them by following these steps 1 Make sure the Oven Temperature Control Knob is turned to the off position Pull knob straight off and flip it over 2 Loosen the locking screws inside the control knob Note the position of the notches 3 To lower the temperature hold knob handle firmly with one hand and the outer skirt with the other hand Move the tooth a notch clockwise toward LOWER Each notch equals about 20 F 11 C 4 To raise the temperature hold knob handle firmly with one hand and the outer skirt with the other hand Move the tooth a notch counterclockwise toward RAISE Each notch equals about 20 F 11 C 5 Tighten the locking screws and replace the control knob To raise NOTE After you make an adjustment to the Oven Temperature Control Knob OFF and BROIL will not line up with the indicator mark on the control panel as they did before This is normal and will not create a problem screws To lower Notches Broiling The broiler drawer is located below the oven door Always broil with the oven door clo

16. de the best cooking results Handles should be made of a sturdy heat resistant material and be securely attached to the pan e Pans should be easy to clean Check to be sure there are no crevices rough edges or areas where food might collect e Be sure pans do not tip whether they are full or empty Use cookware only as it was intended to be used Follow pan instructions This is very important for glass cookware because some should be used only in the oven Other pans are marked as flameware and may be used on the surface burners Home canning information The large diameter of most water bath or pressure canners combined with high heat settings for long periods of time can cause damage to the cooktop To protect your range For best results use a canner which can be centered over the surface burner Do not place canner on two surface burners at the same time Too much heat will build up and will damage the cooktop e Start with hot water This reduces the time the control is set on high Reduce heat setting to lowest position needed to keep water boiling Keep reflector pans clean for best heat reflection Refer to your canner manual for specific instructions USING YOUR RANGE Positioning racks and pans For baking roasting with one rack place the rack so the top of the food will be centered in the oven Rack placement for specific foods FOOD RACK POSITION Frozen pies large 1st or 2
17. der the front frame 3 Fit front tabs into slots in front frame 19 CARING FOR YOUR RANGE Removing the broiler drawer The broiler drawer can be removed for cleaning To remove Broiler compartment 1 When broiler is cool remove rack and pan 2 Pull the broiler drawer out until it stops then push it back in about one inch 3 Grasp handle lift and pull broiler drawer out lift the rollers located under the drawer over the roller guides in the range To replace 1 Put the rollers under the broiler drawer behind the roller guide stops in the range Roller 2 Hold the broiler drawer in the raised position as you slide it partway into the range Then lower the drawer and push it completely closed The continuous cleaning oven model SS330PEB Standard cleaning oven walls are coated Fat spatter Standard with smooth porcelain Your continuous beads up porcelain cleaning oven walls are coated with a special rougher porcelain A fat spatter beads up on the smooth surface but spreads out on the rougher surface The bead of fat on the smooth surface chars and turns black The spread out fat on the rough surface gradually burns away at medium to high baking temperatures so the oven Goreme QUE koe iid can retum to a presentably clean condition Burns away porcelain Cleaning tips e The oven window racks oven bottom and inside surface of door are not coated Clean them by hand e lf you do mo

20. g the Minute Timer note that minutes are marked up to 30 and hours are marked up to 4 on the center ring of the clock NOTE Do not push in the knob when setting the Minute Timer or when stopping the buzzer Pushing in and turning the Minute Timer Knob changes the clock setting 1 Without pushing it in turn the Minute Timer Knob counterclockwise until the timer hand reaches the minutes or hours you want to time 2 When the time is up a buzzer will sound To stop the buzzer turn the Minute Timer hand to OFF 11 USING YOUR RANGE Baking roasting NOTE Do not attempt to light the oven burner during a power failure See Important Safety Instructions on p 4 for more informa tion 1 12 Position the rack s properly before turning on the oven For further informa tion see Positioning racks and pans on p 9 Push in and turn the Oven Temperature Control counterclockwise to the baking roasting temperature you want The oven burner will automatically light in 50 60 seconds When baking preheat the oven for 10 minutes Put food in the oven NOTES Do not preheat when roasting or cooking items such as casseroles e Do not place food directly on the oven bottom During baking roasting the oven burner will turn on and off to maintain the tem perature setting When baking roasting is done turn the Oven Temperature Control clockwise to OFF USING

22. l help make it easier to clean the oven AWARNING Burn and Electrical Shock Hazard Make sure all controls are OFF and the oven is cool before removing oven door Failure to do so could result in burns or electrical shock 1 Open the door to the first stop position 2 Hold the door at both sides and lift it at the same angle it is in NOTE Be careful not to place hands between the spring hinge and the oven frame as the spring hinge could snap back and pinch your fingers 18 CARING FOR YOUR RANGE 3 To replace fit the bottom corners of the door over the ends of the hinges Push the door down evenly The door will close only when it is on the hinges correctly If hinges snap back against the oven frame pull them back out Removing the oven bottom The panel in the oven bottom can be removed for cleaning AWARNING Burn Hazard Make sure all parts are cool before removing Failure to do so could result in burns To remove 1 Remove oven racks 2 Grasp oven bottom at finger slots on each side 3 Lift front edge of oven bottom enough to Finger raise tabs from slots in front frame 4 Push oven bottom back about 1 4 to release flange from front frame then pull out To replace 1 Slide oven bottom into oven so rear tabs fit into slots in rear wall of oven Slot in front frame 2 Grasp oven bottom at finger slots and push it back and then down to hook the flange un
