Service 3 If You Have a Problem Loading your Washer For best washing results and energy savings sort the laundry carefully 4 Sort the Laundry into Loads e Group the laundry into loads that can be washed and dried together See the Laundry Guide for informa tion and samples of typical loads e Try to mix large and small items for best movement in the washer 2 Measure Detergent Add to Washer Basket e See detergent information on page 6 and in Section IV of the Laundry Guide e Add dry bleach or water condi tioner not fabric softener if used Follow the package directions carefully 3 Dilute Liquid Bleach Before Add ing to the Washer Basket e See the Laundry Aids section of the Laundry Guide for more information 4 Load the Washer e Spread the load evenly Don t put all the towels on one side and a few wash cloths on the other An unbal anced load can cause the washer to shake during spinning e Load without packing so items can move freely for best cleaning and least wrinkling 5 Add Diluted Fabric Softener to the Dispenser DO NOT ADD FABRIC SOFTENER TO THE WASH Fabric softeners can com bine with soap or detergent to make greasy stains on fabrics Understanding your Washer This automatic washer has cycle settings with different agitation and spin speeds for different fabric types For example the REGULAR HEAVY Cycle has high agitation and high spin speeds The P

10. e only Use the setting for an extra rinse or for laundry that only needs a rirse and spin L PERMANENT PRESS 6 10 There is a dot just after the num bers in PERMANENT PRESS REGULAR HEAVY and KNITS GENTLE If you push ir on the Cycle Control Knob turn the pointer to one of those dots and pull the Control Knob out the washer will fill agitate drain and spin If you want high agitation and spin use the dot in REGULAR HEAVY If you want low agitation and spin use the dot in KNITS GENTLE Use the dot in PER MANENT PRESS if you want high agitation and a low speed spin For Spinning Only To set the washer so it drains and spins water out of the load push in on the Control Knob turn the dial to the right clockwise so tne pointer is touch ing the bar just before OFF in any cycle 14 f REGULAR C S HEAVY gt lan The washer will drain spin out water and stop If you want a low speed spin use the bar on PERMANENT PRESS or KNITS GENTLE All the other cycle settings have a high speed spin Le m m a LU m r4 d z 7 O 90 g gt Q z ba S L v m z 7 m 0 N v a m gt T I 2 2 L m Q r4 lt N 77 2 r4 O r4 La lt Cycle Operation Your washer has four cycles on the Cycle Control Dial Each cycle is designed to match the fabric type with pre set agitation and spin speeds The numbers in each cycle are for the number of minutes you want tne
11. e Is tne power supp v Cord plugged in e Are both water faucets open eis a fuse blowr circuit bpreaker tripped 10 e Are the water supply hoses kinked Is the Cycle Control Knob set and pulled out Are the water intet hose filter screens clean To check the screens Turn off the faucets Remove hoses and check the screens Clean the screens under running water Replace the hoses and tighten connections Turn on the faucets and check the leaks IF YOUR WASHER DOES NOT SPIN e Is the lid closed Is the power supply cord plugged in is a fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped IF WASHER FILLS AND DRAINS WITHOUT RUNNING e Make sure that the Cycle Control Knob is pointing to a number in the cycle IF YOUR WASHER STOPS DURING THE PERMANENT PRESS CYCLE e Remember the washer will stop for about 11 2 minutes after the partial drain during the cool down period in this cycle MAKE SURE THE DRAIN HOSE IS HIGHER THAN THE WATER LEVEL IN THE WASHER IF IT ISN T e The washer may seem to be draining during wash and rinse cycles e Water can siphon out See Installation Instructions Dissolve enzyme pre soak and detergent powders to help prevent spot fading on colored items If you use chlorine bleach it MUST be diluted with a quart of warm water and added after the washer fills See Laundry Guide for more information Before adding det ae washing use qu G deterg
12. f the agitator The dispenser will Ford enough diluted fabric softener for one deep rinse e After adding tne detergent and tne load fit the dispenser over the top of the agitator cap Full Mark e Following directions on the bottle add the correct amount of fabric soft ener Use a cup with a pouring spout to avoid dripping any on the load e IMPORTANT Add enough hot or warm water to fill the dispenser to the FULL mark e Diluted fabric softener will be added just before the washer starts filling for the rinse NOTE Do not stop the wasner during the first spin when the wash water is spinning out If you do the fab ric softener will be added to the wet soapy load This can cause stains e Clean the dispenser after each use with warm water only Detergent can make softeners sticky and lumpy For a Pre Wash Use this setting for a shorter SOAK CYCLE no rinse Use enough detergent for a single wash Add the load e Set the LOAD SIZE SELECTOR e Set wash water temperature e Push the Cycle Control Knob in and turn it to the 12 minute mark in the SOAK CYCLE D A 22 e 12 2 SOAK e Pull the Control Knob out to start the washer 6 he washer wil fill agitate for two minutes soak for eight irutes agitate for two more and then drain ard spir See SOAK CYCLE description on page 10 e After filling the washer may pause before starting to agitate For Rinsing Only Your washer can be set to rins
