Stand with your knees bent slightly and slowly bend forward from your hips Allow your back and shoulders to relax as you reach down toward your toes as far as possible Hold for 15 counts then relax Repeat 3 times Stretches Hamstrings back of knees and back 2 Hamstring Stretch Sit with one leg extended Bring the sole of the opposite foot toward you and rest it against the inner thigh of your extended leg Reach toward your toes as far as possible Hold for 15 counts then relax Repeat 3 times for each leg Stretches Hamstrings lower back and groin 3 Calf Achilles Stretch With one leg in front of the other reach forward and place your hands against a wall Keep your back leg straight and your back foot flat on the floor Bend your front leg lean forward and move your hips toward the wall Hold for 15 counts then relax Repeat 3 times for each leg To cause further stretching of the achilles ten dons bend your back leg as well Stretches Calves achilles ten dons and ankles 4 Quadriceps Stretch With one hand against a wall for balance reach back and grasp one foot with your other hand Bring your heel as close to your buttocks as possible Hold for 15 counts then relax Repeat 3 times for both legs Stretches Quadriceps and hip muscles 5 Inner Thigh Stretch Sit with the soles of your feet together and your knees outward Pull your feet toward your groin area as far as possible Hold for 15 counts the
3. and follow the steps listed If further assistance is needed please call our Customer Service Department toll free at 1 800 999 3756 Monday through Friday 6 a m until 6 p m Mountain Time excluding holidays PROBLEM SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION PROBLEM SOLUTION The power does not turn on a Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor and that the surge suppres sor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet see page 8 Use only a single outlet surge sup pressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 8 Important The treadmill is not compatible with GFCI equipped outlets b After the power cord has been plugged in make sure that the key is fully inserted into the console c Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord If the switch pro trudes as shown the circuit breaker has tripped Tripped D Reset c To reset the circuit breaker wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in The power turns off during use a Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord see 1 c above If the circuit breaker has tripped wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in b Make sure that the power cord is plugged in If the power cord is plugged in unplug it wait for five minutes and then plug it back in c Remove the key from the console Reinsert the key fully into the console d

Assembly requires a phillips screwdriver two adjustable wrenches and needlenose pliers Sae gt 1 Note To identify small parts used during assembly refer to the PART IDENTIFICATION CHART in the center of this manual YHazardous Voltage YRisk of Electric Shock YUnplug Treadmill before Assembly Disassembly Attach four Base Pads 63 to the bottom of the Base 46 with four 3 4 Tek Screws 3 Attach the Wheels 68 to the outside of the Base with two Wheel Bolts 67 3 8 Washers 66 and 3 8 Nuts 61 as shown Do not overtighten the Wheel Bolts 2 With the help of a second person carefully tip the tread mill onto its right side as shown Attach a Frame Spacer 27 to the Frame 79 with a Spacer Screw 89 as shown Identify the Left Upright 53 which does not have a large round hole near the lower end Hold the Left Upright so the indicated small hole is in the position shown Loosely thread a Frame Bolt 70 with a Washer 66 and a Star Washer 29 through the Left Upright and the Frame Spacer 27 into the Frame 79 as shown Do not tight en the bolts used in steps 2 through 5 until step 5 is completed Refer to drawing 2b With the help of a second person tip the treadmill onto its left side Attach a Frame Spacer 27 to the Frame 79 with a Spacer Screw 89 Hold the Right Upright 62 so the indicated large hole is in the position shown Insert the Wire Harness 60 into the larg

If the treadmill still will not run please call our Customer Service Department toll free The displays of the console do not function properly a Check the batteries in the console see page 9 Most problems are the result of drained batter ies b Remove the key from the console and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Remove the screws from the O hood Carefully remove the hood Locate the Reed Switch 76 and the Magnet 47 on the left side of the Pulley 77 Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is 17 aligned with the Reed Switch Make sure that the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch is 76 about 1 8 If necessary loosen the Screw 17 and 1 8 move the Reed Switch slightly Retighten the Screw Top View Re attach the hood and run the treadmill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading 12 PROBLEM The walking belt slows when walked on SOLUTION a Use only a single outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 8 b If the walking belt is overtightened treadmill perfor mance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged Remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1 4 of a turn When the walking belt is properly tight ened you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform Be careful to keep the walking belt centered Plug in the power cord i

SE Alkaline batter SS ies are recom o Batteries mended To install bat teries open the battery cover beneath the console as shown Press two batteries into the console Make sure that the negative ends of the batteries are touching the springs Close the battery cover push up on the tab and then push the tab forward as shown in the inset drawing Make sure that the tab locks into place ON RESET Note If there is a thin sheet of clear plastic on the face of the console remove it before Il LI CALS FAT SPEED Speed Control RESET STOP SPEED CONTROL removed from the console the walking belt will stop e Adjust the speed in small increments e To reduce the possibility of electric shock keep the console dry Avoid spilling liquids on the console Put only sealable water bottles in the water bottle holders STEP BY STEP CONSOLE OPERATION Before operating the console make sure that the power cord is properly plugged in see page 8 Step onto the foot rails of the treadmill Find the clip attached to the key and slide the clip onto the waist band of your clothes Next insert the key fully into the con sole Test the clip by carefully taking a few steps backward until the key is pulled from the console I
7. you stop exercising If your heart rate is too high or too low adjust the speed or incline of the treadmill accordingly WORKOUT GUIDELINES A well rounded workout includes the following three important parts A Warm up Start each workout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise See SUGGESTED STRETCHES on page 15 A proper warm up increases your body temperature heart rate and circulation in preparation for exercise Training Zone Exercise After warming up increase the intensity of your exer cise until your pulse is in your training zone for 20 to 60 minutes During the first few weeks of your exer cise program do not keep your pulse in your training zone for longer than 20 minutes Breathe regularly and deeply as you exercise never hold your breath A Cool down Finish each workout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching to cool down This will increase the flexibility of your muscles and will help to prevent post exercise problems EXERCISE FREQUENCY To maintain or improve your condition complete three workouts each week with at least one day of rest between workouts After a few months you may com plete up to five workouts each week if desired The key to success is to make exercise a regular and enjoyable part of your everyday life SUGGESTED STRETCHES The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right Move slowly as you stretch never bounce 1 Toe Touch Stretch
8. your benefit read this manual carefully before using the treadmill If you have additional questions Accessory Tray please call our Customer Service Department toll free at 1 800 999 3756 Monday through Friday 6 a m until 6 p m Mountain Time excluding holidays To help us assist you please note the product model number and serial number before calling The model number of the treadmill is WLTL25320 The serial num ber can be found on a decal attached to the treadmill see the front cover of this manual for the location Before reading further please review the drawing below and familiarize yourself with the labeled parts Console Water Bottle Holder Bottle not included Handrails Storage Latch Uprights Walking Belt Foot Rails Rear Roller Adjustment Bolts Key Clip Circuit Breaker Incline Pin Incline Leg RIGHT SIDE ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two persons Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed Note The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high performance lubricant During shipping a small amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton This does not affect treadmill performance If there is lubri cant on top of the walking belt simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild non abrasive cleaner

10. ctedly which may result in a fall and serious injury 6 Keep children under the age of 12 and pets away from the treadmill at all times 7 The treadmill should not be used by persons 43 a Keep the power cord and the surge suppres weighing more than 250 pounds sor away from heated surfaces 8 Never allow more than one person on the 14 3 Never move the walking belt while the power treadmill at a time is turned off Do not operate the treadmill if the power cord or plug is damaged or if the treadmill is not working properly See page 4 if the treadmill is not working properly 9 Wear appropriate exercise clothing when using the treadmill Do not wear loose cloth ing that could become caught in the tread mill Athletic support clothes are recommend 15 Never start the treadmill while you are stand ed for both men and women Always wear ing on the walking belt Always hold the athletic shoes Never use the treadmill with handrails while using the treadmill 16 17 18 The treadmill is capable of high speeds Adjust the speed in small increments to avoid sudden jumps in speed Never leave the treadmill unattended while it is running Always remove the key and unplug the power cord when the treadmill is not in use Do not attempt to raise lower or move the treadmill until it is properly assembled See ASSEMBLY on page 5 and HOW TO MOVE THE TREADMILL on page 11 You must be able to safely lift 4
11. e hole and out of the top of the Right Upright Loosely thread a Frame Bolt 70 with a Washer 66 and a Star Washer 2 through the Right Upright 62 and the Frame Spacer 27 into the Frame 79 3 With the help of a second person attach the Base 46 to the Right Upright 62 with two Upright Bolts 65 two 3 8 Washers 66 and two 3 8 Nuts 61 as shown Attach the Base 46 to the Left Upright not shown in the same way 4 Raise the treadmill to the upright position If there are plastic ties in the brackets on the Left and Right Handrails 45 59 remove them Hold the Right Handrail near the Right Upright 62 Insert the Wire Harness 60 up through the bracket on the Right Handrail and out of the round hole in the center of the Handrail If necessary use needlenose pliers to pull the Wire Harness out of the hole Be careful not to damage the Wire Harness Insert the brackets into the tops of the Left and Right Uprights 53 62 Hand tighten four Handrail Bolts 42 with 1 4 Washers 38 into the Uprights 53 62 and the Handrails 45 59 Remove the tape from the connectors at the end of the Wire Harness 60 5 Set the Console Base 52 on the Handrails 45 59 Thread four 3 4 Screws 2 into the Handrails and the Console Base After you have started all four Screws tighten the Screws until they are snug do not over tighten the Screws Firmly tighten but do not overtighten the b
12. f the key is not pulled from the console adjust the position of the clip as needed Follow the steps below to operate the console 1 Insert the key fully into the console Inserting the key will not turn on the displays The displays will turn on when the ON RESET button is pressed or when the walking belt is started Note If you just installed batteries the displays will already be on 12 Reset the speed control and start the walking belt Slide the speed control down to the RESET position Note Each time the walking belt is stopped the speed control must be moved to the RESET position before the walking belt can be restarted Next slowly slide the speed control up until the walking belt begins to move at slow speed Carefully step onto the walking belt and begin walking Change the speed of the walking belt as desired by sliding the speed control To stop the walking belt step onto the foot rails and slide the speed control to the RESET position Note During the first few minutes that the treadmill is used inspect the alignment of the walking belt and align it if necessary see page 13 3 Monitor your progress with the displays TIME DISTANCE dis play This display shows the elapsed time and distance that you have walked or run in miles E
13. f your treadmill being damaged always use a surge suppressor with your treadmill see drawing 1 at the right To purchase a surge sup pressor see your local WESLO dealer or call 1 800 806 3651 and order part number 146148 Use only a single outlet surge suppressor that is UL 1449 listed as a transient voltage surge sup pressor TVSS The surge suppressor must have a UL suppressed voltage rating of 400 volts or less and a minimum surge dissipation of 450 joules The surge suppressor must be electrically rated for 120 volts AC and 15 amps There must be a monitoring light on the surge suppressor to indi cate whether it is functioning properly Failure to use a properly functioning surge suppressor could result in damage to the control system of the treadmill If the control system is damaged the walking belt may change speed or stop unexpect edly which may result in a fall and serious injury This product must be grounded If it should mal function or break down grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug Plug the power cord into a surge suppressor and plug the surge suppressor into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances Important The treadmill is not com patible with GFCl equipped outlets Th

16. is product is for use on a nominal 120 volt circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illus trated in drawing 1 below A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in drawing 2 may be used to connect the surge suppressor to a 2 pole receptacle as shown in drawing 2 if a properly grounded outlet is not available Grounded Outlet Grounding Plug Grounded Outlet Box Surge Suppressor Metal Screw The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet drawing 1 can be installed by a qualified electrician The green colored rigid ear lug or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover Whenever the adapter is used it must be held in place by a metal screw Some 2 pole receptacle outlet box covers are not grounded Contact a qualified electrician to determine if the outlet box cover is grounded before using an adapter DIAGRAM OF THE CONSOLE v ow FAT BURN HEART RATE TRAINING ZONES operating the console A CAUTION Betore operating the console read the following precautions Do not stand on the walking belt when turning on the power Always wear the clip see the drawing below while using the treadmill When the key is BATTERY INSTALLATION The console requires two 54 AE AA batteries not included ee
17. l out of direct sunlight Do not leave the treadmill in the stor pra Storage age position in temperatures above 85 Fahrenheit Latch HOW TO MOVE THE TREADMILL Before moving the treadmill convert the treadmill to the storage position as described above Make sure that the storage latch is fully engaged over the catch 1 Hold the upper ends of the handrails Place one foot on one of the front wheels as shown 2 Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels Carefully move the treadmill to the desired loca tion To reduce the risk of injury use extreme caution while moving the treadmill Do not attempt to move the treadmill over an uneven surface 3 Place one foot on a front wheel and carefully lower the treadmill until it is resting in the storage position HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 Refer to drawing 2 above Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand as shown Using your left thumb press the storage latch and hold it Pivot the treadmill until the frame and foot rail are past the storage latch 2 Refer to drawing 1 Hold the treadmill firmly with both hands and lower the treadmill to the floor Do not drop the treadmill frame to the floor CAUTION To decrease the possibility of injury bend your legs and keep your back straight 11 MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below Find the symptom that applies
18. legs as shown below Adjust the incline leg to the desired height and fully reinsert the incline pin Make sure that the incline pin is in the locked position shown in the inset drawing Adjust the other incline leg in the same way Make sure that both incline pins are inserted from the direction shown Incline Pin CAUTION Before using the treadmill make sure that both incline legs are at the same height Do not use the treadmill with the incline pins removed After you have adjusted the incline legs lower the treadmill see HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FORUSE on page 11 HOW TO FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill unplug the power cord CAUTION You must be able to safely lift 45 pounds 20 kg in order to raise lower or move the treadmill 1 Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right To decrease the possibility of injury bend your legs and keep your back straight As you raise the treadmill make sure to lift with your legs rather than your back Raise the treadmill about halfway to the vertical position 2 Move your right hand to the position shown and hold the treadmill firmly Raise the treadmill until the storage latch closes over the catch Make sure that the storage latch is fully engaged over the catch To protect the floor or carpet from damage place a mat under the treadmill Keep the treadmil

20. nsert the key and run the treadmill Rear Roller for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is Adjustment Bolts properly tightened c If the walking belt still slows when walked on please call our toll free Customer Service Department PROBLEM The walking belt is off center or slips when walked on SOLUTION a If the walking belt is off center first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD If the walking belt has shifted to the left use the allen wrench to turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1 2 of a turn if the walking belt has shifted to the right turn the bolt counterclockwise 1 2 of a turn Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt Plug in the power cord insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is centered b If the walking belt slips when walked on first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn both rear roller bolts clockwise 1 4 of a turn When the walking belt is correctly tight ened you should be able to lift each side of the walk ing belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform Be careful to keep the walking belt centered Plug in the power cord insert the key and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened 13 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES A WARNING before beginning this or any exercise program consult your physician This is especially important for indi
21. olts used in steps 2 through 4 6 Insert the Battery Cover 54 up through the bottom of the Console Base 52 with the hinges in the position shown The Cover should pivot down away from the Console Base 7 Hold the Console 57 near the Console Base 52 Touch the Right Handrail 59 to discharge any static Insert the Wire Harness 60 through the hole in the bot tom of the Console Base 52 Locate the two wires in the Wire Harness 60 that have L shaped connectors on the ends Press the connectors onto the two tabs on the switch shown in inset drawing 7a Connect the other two wires in the Wire Harness to the back of the Console 57 in the locations shown by the arrows in drawing 7 If the connectors do not fit together easily rotate them and then connect them Make a loop with each of the indicated plastic ties around the Wire Harness 60 Securely tighten each plastic tie to prevent the Wire Harness from slipping Cut off the ends of the plastic ties 8 Set the Console 57 in the Console Base 52 Cover the Wire Harness 60 with the Wire Cover 11 and route the Wire Harness out of the hole in the side of the Wire Cover Attach the Wire Cover to the back of the Console Base with two 3 4 Screws 2 Make sure that no wires are pinched before you attach the Console to the Console Base Tighten four 3 4 Screws 2 into the Console Base 52 and the Console 57 Do not over tighten the F
