ENGLISH Owner s Guide Model 540 amp 580 Important Instructions for Model 580 The model 580 air circulator has a grounded plug To reduce the risk of electric shock this plug is intended to fit in a grounded outlet only one way If the plug th Ri electrician does not fit in the outlet use a different outlet or contact a qualifie Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature Using the 540 and 580 Clip Fan The Vornado clip fan has all the features of the standard Vornado circulators plus the convenient advantage of a multi directional exraneovyduly clip Speed is determined by the switch on the back of the fan I Low II High O Of The models 540 and 580 air circulators can be adjusted to direct airflow in any direction The ratcheting pivots allow for forward backward and left right positioning and the entire head can be rotated 360 at the pivot on the clip Attachment Options Clip Attach the clip by squeezing the handles together A and positioning the cushion grip pads over a solid surface up to 1 5 8 thick This lower jaw has a floaling pivot pad to create a very tight grip onto parallel surfaces Note this preloct has very strong gripping action and may be difficult to open The clip can be attached to surfaces that are vertical or horizontal but be sure the attachment surface can support the weight of the product Be sure clip is securely attached to the intended surface Do Not attach to slick or oily surfaces as thi2. s may allow the fan to come loose T Attachment Options Wall Mount The clip can also be attached to a vertical surface with two screws not included Use number 10 pan head screws or bolts for attachment If using screws be sure to attach into a stud or other solid surface Do not attach only to sheetrock Position the screws vertically into the solid surface 1 1 4 apart stop the screw with about 1 8 gap from the surface Slip the clip over the screw heads and allow the clip to slip down into position Adjust screw tightness if needed For both attachment options keep the electrical cord safely routed to avoid being tripped over or pulled on Avoid placing the product where it could be easily bumped into
