1. inserted in the unit sighting is still possible by means of the auxiliary front sight printed on the projection screen The airgun is correctly aimed when the auxiliary front sight is positioned around the diode carrier The bulls eye should appear to rest on the top of the front sight target auxiliary front sight diode carrier 8 Battery change The red dot sight is powered by a 3 volt lithium battery CR 2032 The battery has to be changed when the red aiming dot loses its brightness or disappears altogether ePut the airgun On safe 2 1 eRemove the CO2 magazine 3 2 e Remove the pellet clip 4 2 e Lift the grip plate off as shown in fig 15 and change the battery eAfter the battery change put the upper section of the grip plate into position first fig 16 Place the bottom part of the plate in to position next To do this you will have to slightly bend the grip plate To do so place your index finger inside the frame to help guide the grip fig 17 With your thumb on the outside of the frame press the grip plate and slide it down in to position 9 Removing A Jammed Pellet IMPORTANT The fact that the air pistol does not fire a projectile is never a reason to assume that the pellet clip does not contain any more pellets Firing the air pistol with too little gas pressure left may cause a pellet to get stuck in the barrel e Make sure the air pistol is ON SAFE See 2 1 e Remove

Your air pistol is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use Always remember to place your target carefully THINK about what you will hit if you miss the target e When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the target is clear take the air pistol Off Safe See 2 2 and pull the trigger to fire 6 Sights This airgun has a built in sight which projects a red dot on an internal screen Using the red dot sight Make sure to point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION Locate the switch on the back strap of the grip Push in and hold the switch to turn the red dot sight on Fig 13 Release switch to turn the red dot sight off Adjusting the sight The brightness adjustment is located at the base of the back strap Slide to the right to make the red dot brighter Fig 13 This airgun can be adjusted to shoot higher or lower elevation or left to right windage If the point of impact is too high turn the elevation adjustment screw clockwise If the point of impact is too low turn the elevation adjustment screw counter clockwise If the point of impact is too far right turn the windage adjustment screw counter clockwise If the point of impact is too far left turn the windage adjustment screw clockwise The Airgun is zeroed at a distance of 10 m optimum performance will occur at this distance 7 Backup sights In case of a battery failure or when no battery is

6. e rear sight When you can see the RED dot and the F on the receiver the air pistol is Off Safe and can be fired 3 Insertion and Removal of CO2 Cylinders AWARNING co cylinders may explode at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C Do not muti late or incinerate them Do not expose them to heat or store CO2 cylinders at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C A WARNING xe hands away from escaping CO2 gas It can cause frostbite if allowed to come in contact with skin 3 1 Inserting the CO2 Cylinder e Make sure the air pistol is On Safe See 2 1 e Make sure the air pistol is unloaded See 4 2 e Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION e Press the magazine release lever and slide the magazine out of the bottom of the grip Fig 3 e Turn the magazine shoe clockwise towards OPEN Fig 4 e f a CO2 cylinder is already installed See 3 2 Removing the CO2 Cylinder e Insert the CO2 cylinder with the small neck of the cylinder pointing upward toward the top of the magazine Fig 5 e Tighten the cylinder into place by turning brass retaining screw as shown in Figure 6 up until secure and close the magazine shoe by turning it towards POWER until it reaches the position shown in Figure 6 e Insert the magazine up into the bottom of the grip until it locks into place Fig 7 e With the air pistol unloaded See 4 2 and pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION take Off Safe See 2 2 and pull the trigger to fire If yo
7. g the slide and pushing it back until it locks into place Fig 12 4 2 Unloading the Pellets e Put air pistol On Safe See 2 1 e Open the barrel See 4 1 e Remove the pellet clip Using a ramrod gently push each pellet out of the pellet chamber e IMPORTANT Never use sharp metal tools to remove pellets e Check to make sure the barrel is completely unloaded by pointing the muzzle ina SAFE DIRECTION taking OFF SAFE See 2 2 and pulling the trigger to fire You may also unload your air pistol by following the directions listed under Step 9 Removing a Jammed Pellet e Replace the empty pellet clip ratchet teeth facing the rear sight on the barrel See Fig 11 e Close the slide by pushing it all the way back until it locks into place See Step 4 1 Fig 12 5 Aiming and Firing Safely e Always point your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION e Follow the instruction for inserting CO2 See 3 1 and loading See 4 1 e You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes e Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit e Always choose your target carefully For example you may wish to shoot at paper bullseye targets that are attached to a safe backstop such as the Crosman 850 Target Trap A heavy blanket should be hung behind the Target Trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop e
8. ing Pellets 11 Reviewing Safety J Aiming and Firing Safely Specifications 6 Sights Problems T Emergency sights Warranty 1 Learning the Parts of Your New CO2 Air Pistol Learning the names of the parts of your new air pistol will help you to understand your owner s manual Use this manual to increase your enjoyment of this air pistol Windage and elevation adjustment Slide Red dot inside On button Muzzle Frame Slide Release Lever Safety Magazine aN Brightness release lever cre Magazine J 2 Operating the Safety AWARNING xo the air pistol in the ON SAFE On Safe position until you are actually ready to shoot Then push the safety to the OFF SAFE position 2 1 To Put The Air Pistol ON SAFE q Locate the safety on the right hand side of the receiver Sy Push the safety forward toward the muzzle end of the air i io pistol Fig 1 The safety is not On Safe unless it is pushed forward all the way and the RED dot and the F on the receiver are NOT showing Like all mechanical devices an air pistol safety can fail Even when the safety is on On Safe you should continue to handle the air pistol safely NEVER point the air pistol at any person NEVER point the air pistol at anything you do not intend to shoot 2 2 To Take The Air Pistol OFF SAFE e Locate the latch on the safety Fig 2 e Push in the latch on the safety 1 and slide the safety rearward 2 toward th
9. stol with a CO2 cylinder in it This is very important to remember as it will prolong the longevity of your air pistol seals LS ie h y y e i v a 7 soe l 1 magazine shoe 4 Loading and Unloading Pellets AWARNING uss 177 4 5mm caliber pellets only in this air pistol Never reuse pellets Use of any other ammunition can cause injury to you or damage to the air pistol 4 1 Loading Pellets e Make sure the air pistol is On Safe See 2 1 e Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION e While keeping the air pistol in a horizontal position to keep the pellet clip from falling out open the slide by pressing the slide release lever down until the slide opens and exposes the breech Fig 8 Remove the pellet clip e Place a 1 7 caliber 4 5 mm pellet nose first in each pellet chamber of the pellet clip Fig 9 IMPORTANT To avoid jams or deforming the pellets make sure the pellet skirt is level or slightly below the rim of the pellet chamber e Place the pellet clip in the breech ratchet teeth facing the rear sight Fig 11 keeping the air pistol in the horizontal position B gues kd E 5 M a WARNINGS o no piaco your hand or fingers over the muzzle Do not put your finger on the trigger and make sure your air pistol is pointing in a SAFE DIRECTION when closing the slide Failure to follow this warning may cause serious injury e Close the air pistol by grippin
10. the CO2 magazine See 3 2 e Open the slide and remove the clip e Insert a ramrod of the proper size into the muzzle end of the barrel and carefully push the jammed pellet into the loading port Fig 11 The barrel could be damaged if the proper sized ramrod is not used e Once you have pushed the pellet back into the loading port shake the air pistol until the jammed pellet falls out e Do not try to reuse that pellet If you are not able to unjam your air pistol by following this procedure take no further action Crosman Corporation or an Authorized Service Station will unjam your air pistol no cost during the warranty period 10 Maintaining Your Air Pistol e Before you attempt to oil your airgun make sure the CO2 cylinder has been removed and the gun is unloaded See 3 2 and 4 e Your airgun will maintain proper function longer if you oil it every 250 shots Put 2 3 drops of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil on the slide rails Fig 12 e Putting a drop of Pellgunoil on the top of every CO2 cylinder will also help to maintain your airgun DO NOT use petroleum distillate based oil or solvent and DO NOT over oil as this can cause damage to your airgun e DO NOT MODIFY OR ALTER YOUR AIRGUN Attempts to modify the airgun in any way inconsistent with this manual may make your airgun unsafe to use Cause serious injury or death and will void the warranty e f you drop your airgun check to see that it works properly before you use it again If an
11. ur air pistol does not make a popping noise after pulling the trigger the CO2 is not being discharged Return the safety to the ON SAFE position see 2 1 Repeat above steps until you hear the popping noise 3 2 Removing the CO2 Cylinder Keep hands away from escaping CO2 gas It can cause frostbite if allowed to contact with skin AWARNING make sure that the CO2 cartridge is empty before attempting to remove it from the air gun e Make sure the air pistol is On Safe See 2 1 e Make sure the air pistol is unloaded See 4 2 e Point the air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION e Press the magazine release lever and slide the magazine out of the bottom of the grip See Fig 3 e Turn the magazine shoe towards OPEN See Fig 4 allowing CO2 to ecape e Slowly turn the brass cylinder retaining screw down to tighten allowing any remaining CO2 gas to escape See Fig 4 e Remove the CO2 cylinder by turning the magazine over and allowing cylinder to fall out NOTE High temperatures may cause damage to the air pistol The maximum temperature for the storage or use of this air pistol should not exceed 120 F 48 9 C This temperature can easily be reached when the air pistol is exposed to direct sunlight FIRING THE AIR PISTOL WITH LOW GAS PRESSURE MAY CAUSE A PELLET TO GET STUCK IN THE BARREL Never try to force any CO2 cylinder into or out of place as it may result in injury to you or damage to your air pistol Do not store your air pi
