Can be re frozen providing there are ice crystals remaining within them Small Joints Should be cooked and then re frozen as cooked dishes Chicken Should be cooked and re frozen as a fresh dish i 4 HINTS AND TIPS Normal Operating Sounds The advanced design of today s frost free appliances mean you hear unfamiliar noises during everyday operation The diagram below describes some of the noises you may hear These are quite normal and mean your appliance is operating correctly The automatic defrost timer sounds like an electric clock and clicks in and out of the defrost cycle The thermostat control will click when starting or stopping the compressor The fan circulates cold air to cool the refrigerator and the freezer compartment and sounds like air blowing or a whirring sound The flow of refrigerant through the freezer cooling coil makes a gurgling noise Water dropping on the defrost heater causes a hissing or popping sound during the defrost cycle 17 ant Defrost water drips into the drain pan during the defrost cycle The compressor will make a hum or pulsating sound while operating MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before any maintenance or cleaning work is carried out DISCONNECT the appliance from the ELECTRICITY supply Internal Cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda 5ml to 0 5 litre of water Rinse and dry thoroughly

Fa Vegetables fruit A qd Frozen food storage ice making Freezing fresh food E g d E Adjustable shelves Adjustment of the door shelves can be made to accommodate varying heights of bottles and other containers Gently ease the shelf in the directions shown Store light items such as small cartons and jars on the shelves provided in the door The bottle shelf can be used for the storage of heavier bottles The larder compartment is fitted with shelving which are adjusted for the storage of different sized articles If the door cannot be opened further than 90 remove the shelves by tilting the shelf downwards and pulling outwards The Freezer Compartment The symbol means that your freezer will store frozen food at 18 C 0 4 F or colder allowing for long term frozen food storage and freezing of fresh food The freezer temperature is controlled automatically by the thermostat situated in the control panel Due to the different installations methods of usage and weather conditions adjustments to the temperature settings may be required These are best assessed against a temperature reading on a thermometer buried in the frozen food The reading must be taken quickly as the thermometer temperature will rise rapidly after removal Frozen Food Storage The appliance has the following net storage volume 80 litres 2 8 cuft 25 6 kg 56 4 Ib T This is a standard measurement and the act

8. at the base of the product to prevent it from slipping Carefully lean the appliance backwards resting the top on a stool or something similar at least 30cm 12 from the floor care must be taken not to allow the appliance wheels to slip Do not support the appliance on the rear ventilation grille or condenser Remove level adjuster A from base of product retaining small cup spacer which is located around the threaded portion of the adjuster Remove the foot hinge assembly B by removing screws marked C Remove the bottom door by lifting it upwards slightly and carefully sliding it down off the centre hinge pin H Remove blanking plate M using a flat blade screwdriver Remove the centre hinge H by loosening screw G and removing totally screw J Remove the top door by carefully sliding it down off the upper hinge pin P Unscrew the upper hinge pin P and transfer it to the opposite side of the cabinet Refit blanking plate M onto the opposite side of the cabinet 12 13 14 15 16 Refit the top door by carefully sliding it onto the upper hinge pin P Turn the centre hinge H around from its illustrated position and transfer it to the opposite side Gently press the centre hinge up into the door To secure the centre hinge to the cabinet refit screw J Ensure the top door is correctly aligned before fully tightening the screws J and G This can be achieve
9. evaporation which cause s drying or freezer burn Frozen food which is allowed to thaw accidentally should either be used immediately or thrown away Alternatively if the food is uncooked and has not been completely defrosted it can be cooked and then refrozen Aim to check dates on packets and rotate food regularly Although storage longer than recommended is not harmful flavours and textures begin to change i 4 HINTS AND TIPS Food Storage To obtain the best results from your appliance neither hot foods nor liquids which may evaporate should be placed in the larder compartment Avoid buying frozen food if you cannot store it straight away The use of an insulated container is advisable When you arrive home place the frozen food in the freezer immediately Keep the time between buying chilled food and placing it in your fridge as short as possible Do not push food together too much try to allow air to circulate around each item Do not store food uncovered Ensure that food is placed in the freezer that is dated and labelled and used in date order to ensure that food is consumed at its best Remove suspect food from your refrigerator and clean refer to cleaning and maintenance energy Saving Advice Do not install the cabinet close to sources of heat such as a cooker dishwasher or radiator Locate the appliance in a cool well ventilated room and make sure that the air openings of the cabinet ar

ATURE CONTROL Your appliance has been designed to operate in room temperatures of 10 C to 32 C By use of an air circulation slider control situated at the rear of the fridge compartment the amount of cold air circulated through the fridge compartment can be varied In room temperatures of between 10 C and 16 C should you find your fridge temperatures too cold reposition the slider control to the cold position NB Positioning the slider control to the cold position does not stop the flow of cold air only restrict it At room temperatures above 16 C the slider control can be adjusted between cold and coldest to increase the amount of cold air circulating through the fridge compartment Maximum circulation will be achieved with the slider control set at coldest Any further fridge temperature adjustment should be carried out by using the thermostat control see section headed Thermostat Control QP eee ene e we e e Larder Compartment The correct temperature for safe storage of fresh food inside is 0 C to 5 C 32 F to 41 F The warmest part of the fridge compartment is at the top of the cabinet and the coolest at the bottom Eggs butter H O ee o Storage Guide _ cheese A Preserves marmalade baked goods Cooked meats d ready meals 0 1 margarine preserves Dairy produce Fresh meats Drinks milk fresh poultry La lll fresh fish J mince burgers

Do not use detergents abrasive powders highly perfumed cleaning products wax polishes or cleaning products containing bleach or alcohol Regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure they are clean and free from debris External Cleaning Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water Do NOT use abrasive products There are sharp edges on the underside of the product so care should be taken when cleaning Once or twice a year dust the condenser black grille and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner as an accumulation of dust will affect the performance of the appliance and cause excessive electricity consumption t To Change the Light Bulb Ta Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply 2 Remove the light cover by removing the screw at the rear with a screwdriver 3 Pull the cover outwards towards the middle of the cabinet 4 Unscrew the bulb and replace it with a new 15 watt E14 SES bulb available from your local Service Force Centre 5 Replace the cover by sliding it into its original position 6 Replace the screw Automatic Defrosting Your appliance has been designed to be frost free This means there is no need to defrost your appliance as this will be carried out automatically When the Appliance is Not in Use When the appliance is not in use for long periods disconnect from the electricity supply empty all of the food and

17. e not obstructed Avoid unnecessary frosting in the cabinet by packing all foodstuffs into airtight packages before placing them in the freezer Always leave warm food to cool down to room temperature before placing in the fridge or freezer Food which is to be frozen when cool should be placed in the fridge before being transferred to the freezer Thaw frozen food in the fridge This will ensure safer defrosting of foods and reduce the work of the refrigeration unit e Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods or opening the door too frequently as warm air will enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the door from closing properly Itis advisable to periodically clean the refrigeration system at the back of the appliance with a duster or vacuum cleaner In the Event of a Power Failure If there is a power failure during the storage of frozen foods keep the door closed If the temperature within your freezer should rise do not refreeze the food without checking it s condition The following guidelines should assist you Ice Cream Once thawed should be discarded Fruit and Vegetables If soft should be cooked and used up Bread and Cakes Can be refrozen without danger Shellfish Should be refrigerated and used up quickly Cooked Dishes i e casseroles should be refrigerated and used up Large Pieces of Meat
