1. Lighting Fixture Installation Instruction FOR CEILING MOUNT FIXTURE Warning Before installing fixture be sure the electricity to the wires you are working with is shut off either by removing the fuse or by setting the circuit breaker off General Information You don t need special tools to install this fixture Be sure to follow the steps in the order given Under no circumstances should the fixture be hung on house electrical wires The fixture must be installed by means of support that is installed on a ceiling which contains a radiant type heating system Remember that a fuse or circuit breaker protects wires from becoming overheated Overheated wires created an overload and cause the fuse to blow or the circuit breaker to trip The cause of the overload is because too many appliances are on the same line or a short circuit Before tracing the wires for a short circuit be sure to shut off the electricity at the main switch If you must replace a blown fuse be sure to replace it with one rated for the ampere capacity of the circuit For example if a 15 AMP fuse blows do not replace it with a 30 AMP fuse Use only one hand to screw out a fuse and keep your other hand away from the wall or any other object while you are touching the fuse Assemble the fixture Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts are included as shown in figure Be careful not to misplace any of the screws or wire connectors which are ne2. eded for installing the fixture 1 Attach the fixture mounting screws B to the cross bar C 2 Pull the power supply wires out from the outlet box and mount the cross bar C to the outlet box with mounting screws D 3 Connect ground wire from outlet box to cross bar C with green ground screw R Connect white supply wire to white fixture wire Connect black supply wire to black fixture wire with wire nuts A 4 Thread ceiling pan E over body ring S Raise ceiling pan E and body ring S up to ceiling so that screws B protrude down through keyhole shots in the pan E and tighten ball nuts N 5 Thread hex nut over nipple F and then thread nipple F into coupling P Tighten hex nut against coupling P NOTE SOME ADJUSTMENT IN NIPPLE LENGTH MAY BE NECESSARY 6 Install the light bulb s in accordance with the fixture s specifications NOTE DO NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE 7 Slip glass shade G up over nipple F and set inside pan E secure in place with washer H hex nut J cap Kk and finial L Your installation is now complete Return power to the junction box and test the fixture CSKMTO04 32106 OUTLET BOX CEILING
