4. press the Tuning Set Buttons to select your time zone The display will show each zone s current time setting There are seven time zones to choose from Auto Set Time Zones Z 01 Atlantic Standard Time Z 02 Eastern Standard Time Z 03 Central Standard Time Z 04 Mountain Standard Time Z 05 Pacific Standard Time Z 06 Alaskan Standard Time Z 07 Hawaiian Standard Time 3 When you have reached your time zone press the Time Zone Button to lock the setting into place Manual Time and Date Settings 1 To change your time setting press the Time Set Button so that the clock display begins flashing 2 While the display is flashing press the Tuning Set Buttons to set the time Hold a button for a few seconds to advance the time rapidly Be sure to set the correct AM PM time as shown by the PM Indicator 3 When you have set the current time press the Time Set Button again to return to the standard display 4 To change your date setting press the Q Date 7 5 2 Button The display will show the calendar setting 5 The display will show the flashing year Press the Tuning Set Buttons to set the current year When you have selected the year press the Q Date 7 5 2 Button again and follow the above instructions to set the month and then the day 6 After you have set the date press the Q Date 7 5 2 Butto

Set Buttons to find a station to listen to To scan the radio stations hold a button for about three seconds The radio will rapidly advance to the next strong signal 4 You may also use the Radio Preset Buttons to select a preset radio station See the Programming Radio Station Memories section for instructions on programming radio station settings 5 Rotate the Volume Thumbwheel to adjust the volume level 6 Press the amp Off Reset Button to turn the power off Programming Radio Station Settings This Alarm Clock Radio features a total of 18 programmable radio station settings 12 FM stations and six AM stations These allow you to preset your favorite stations and access them quickly 1 Press the On Sleep Button once to turn the radio on Note f the Q On Sleep Button is pressed more than once the unit will enter the sleep mode See the Sleeping to Radio with Timer section for more information about this feature 2 Press the AM FM Button to select a radio band The AM FM Radio Indicator will show which band is in use 3 Press the Tuning Set Buttons to find a station to program into the memory To scan the radio stations hold a button for about three seconds The radio will rapidly advance to the next strong signal 4 When you have reached the station you wish to program press the 9 Memory Set Button once while the station is displayed A station can only be programmed while its call number appears on the displ

9. ay The Preset Station Number in the upper right hand corner of the display will flash for approximately ten seconds after which the display will revert to the standard clock display Instructions continued on following page 10 Listening to the Radio Continued Programming Radio Station Settings Continued 5 While the Preset Station Number is flashing press the Radio Preset Buttons until the display shows the slot number you wish to store the station as There are 12 FM and six AM slots to choose from Press the Memory Set Button again to save the setting The station can now be accessed using the Tuning Set Buttons as described in the Listening to the Radio section of the instructions Follow the above instructions to continue programming station settings into memory To edit a setting enter a different station as an existing Preset Station Number This overrides the original Sleeping to Radio With Timer Note For more information about playing the radio see the Listening to the Radio section of this manual 1 2 5 6 Press the On Sleep Button twice to enter the sleep mode Continue pressing the On Sleep Button to select a 90 60 30 or 15 minute sleep time When the display shows the desired sleep time stop pressing the button The sleep timer setting remains active for approximately ten seconds before returning to the standard clock display The Sleep Indicator will appear showing that the

12. he alarm will sound at the set time and days 3 When the alarm sounds press the Off Reset Button to turn off the alarm while still maintaining the programmed 7 5 2 alarm settings To turn off an alarm and cancel its 7 5 2 settings press its Alarm Button so that its Alarm Indicator no longer appears on the display 4 To activate the snooze feature press the Snooze Night Light Bar when the alarm sounds The alarm will shut off for approximately nine minutes before sounding again The feature can be repeated several times during the one hour snooze cycle 5 If itis not turned off the alarm will sound for an hour before stopping As long as an Alarm Indicator appears on the display the alarm will sound at the set time according to the 7 5 2 settings Adjusting the Display Backlight e This alarm clock radio features an adjustable display backlight with dim medium and bright settings To select a backlight setting press the Snooze Night Light Bar until the desired brightness is reached Listening to the Radio Operating the Radio 1 Press the On Sleep Button once to turn the radio on Note If the Q On Sleep Button is pressed more than once the unit will enter the sleep mode with the radio operating on a timer See Sleeping to Radio with Timer for more information about this feature 2 Press the AM FM Button to select a radio band The AM FM Radio Indicator will show which frequency is in use 3 Press the Tuning
13. n again to return to the standard display Operating the Dual Alarm System This clock radio features a dual alarm system with two separate alarms that can be operated independently The alarms can be set to wake two people at different times or to have a main alarm and a backup One alarm features your choice of radio stations as an alarm wake sound while the second features a buzzer wake sound You can set the radio alarm the buzzer alarm or both alarms Setting Radio Alarm a Press the Alarm Set Button The display will flash and the Radio Alarm Indicator will appear If you do not begin setting the time within ten seconds of pressing the Alarm Set Button the display will stop flashing and you will need to press the Alarm Set Button again While the display flashes press the Tuning Set Buttons to set the wake time Hold a button for a few seconds to advance the time rapidly Be sure to set the correct AM PM time as shown by the PM Indicator After setting the radio alarm time you will need to select the station to wake up to First press the AM FM Button to select a radio frequency Next select a station using the Radio Preset Buttons For more information on programming radio stations into memory see the Programming Radio Station Settings section of this manual Rotate the 9 Volume Thumbwheel to set a wake sound volume level After setting the radio alarm wake time and sound you will need to select your 7 5 2 setti
14. ng The 7 5 2 setting lets you set the alarm for a full week weekdays only or the weekend Before setting the alarm be sure that the correct date is set as shown in the Auto Set and Manual Time and Date Settings section of the manual While the display is still flashing press the Date 7 5 2 Button until the desired setting is shown After you have set the radio alarm wake time wake sound and 7 5 2 setting press the Alarm Set Button twice so that the display shows the standard non flashing display Setting Buzzer Alarm 1 2 3 Press the Alarm Set Button twice The display will flash and the Buzzer Alarm Indicator will appear While the display flashes press the Tuning Set Buttons to set the wake time as described above After setting the buzzer wake time use the Q Date 7 5 2 Button to select the buzzer 1 5 2 setting as described above After you have set the buzzer wake time and 7 5 2 setting press the Alarm Set Button once so that the display shows the standard non flashing display Operating the Dual Alarm System Continued Activating the Alarms 1 To activate the radio alarm press the Radio Alarm Button so that the Radio Alarm Indicator appears on the display As long as this indicator appears the alarm will sound at the set time and days 2 To activate the buzzer alarm press the Buzzer Alarm Button so that the Buzzer Alarm Indicator appears on the display As long as this indicator appears t
