1. 4 Scroll to the desired message then press the FLASH key 5 Select Reply 6 Type the desired reply then press the FLASH key SMS Priority Indication If an SMS comes in with an URGENT or EMERGENCY priority then three triangles will be displayed in the LCD window of your SMS 01 SX4P AAA SMS Priority Retrieval To retrieve the priority message follow the Read Messages pro Priority Message cedure Note The Priority indication will disappear after entering the SMS message menu even if the priority message was not read When Message 00 AAA reading a message that has urgent priority the indication will be displayed normally with the addition of three triangles The Priority 02 21 13 22 12 indication will also be removed if the user deletes all messages Priority Message Retrieval Phonecell SX4P 1x 7 User Manual Data Features The SX4P allows for 1X packet data and circuit switched data CSD using a PC connected to the data port of the SX4P Making Data Calls To make any data call from the SX4P the unit must be in data mode Only data calls can be made when the SX4P is in data mode If you want to make a voice call while in data mode press the Flash key then wait for the SX4P to configure It will now be in voice mode 1 Press the FLASH key 2 Select Data Mode The display will show Data Mode Press Flash to Exit 3 The SX4P is now in data mode where you can place a data call from a device connected to the d2. SX4P is roaming Figure 11 SX4P LCD Screen Icons Phonecell SX4P 1x 4 User Manual Service Indication Full Service When it is powered on the SX4P will display Initializing while it Y 1 A sets up then it will display your phone number followed by the ail hardware and software versions If service is available Telular Telular SX4 1x SX4 1x will display when the setup is complete If the unit is R roaming an R will also display Vertical indicator bars next to the antenna icon display the signal strength 6 bars indicates a Full Service full signal No Service If no service is available No Service will display when the SX4P Y A setup is complete The antenna icon will still display but no indicator bars will display No Service Making Calls 1 Pick up the handset or press the Redial Hands Free key No Service The SX4P is now off hook 2 When the dial tone sounds dial the desired phone number The dialed digits will display NOTE The SX4P does not have speakerphone capabilities The Redial Hands Free key allows for hands free dialing but the handset must be used for actual conversation because there is no external microphone on the SX4P Receiving Calls When there is an incoming call the SX4P will ring and display caller ID information if it has been enabled When the ringer is off caller ID information will still display Contact your service provider 5551234567 to activate caller ID 1
