SONY a oe Car Adaptor Seas 7 Of EYEL Instruction manual FARBE N8834 PSP 180 G 2 629 039 11 1 Precautions e Before using this product carefully read this manual and retain it for future reference Read also the PSP system instruction manual especially the Warnings and Precautions sections e This product is exclusively for use with the PSP system Do not attempt to use it with any other device e This product can only be used in negative grounded vehicles with a 12 or 24 volt DC battery Note that it cannot be used in positive grounded vehicles For details on your vehicle s grounding and battery type refer to the owner s manual for your vehicle Safety Do not touch the car adaptor with wet hands as this may result in electrical shock e Do not touch the plug and socket during a lightning storm e Regularly inspect for damage and dust build up e Stop use immediately if the product functions in an abnormal manner produces unusual sounds or smells or becomes too hot to touch If the product does not function properly disconnect it from the vehicle s power socket immediately and contact the PSP service line at the number listed on your warranty card for assistance Car safety e Never use the PSP system while operating a vehicle or when seated in the front passenger seat Only back seat passengers should use this product e Make sure that the product and its parts such as the

9. rong physical shock e Do not cover or wrap the car adaptor as doing so may cause heat to build up internally e Keep the system and car adaptor out of the reach of small children Small children may wrap the car adaptor cord around themselves which may inflict injury or cause an accident or a malfunction Do not expose the PSP system or accessories to dust smoke or steam e When this product or its packing materials are no longer needed follow the instructions of the local authorities to dispose of it properly Connecting the car adaptor e Make sure that the vehicle s engine is running before inserting the plug into the power socket e Connect the car adaptor directly to the vehicle s power socket Do not use extension cords as these may cause the car adaptor cord to become hot resulting in fire or personal injury e Insert the plug all the way into the vehicle s power socket If the plug is not fully inserted the product may become excessively hot Disconnecting the car adaptor e Disconnect the car adaptor from the vehicle s power socket when not in use Failure to do so may result in fire or damage to the vehicle Do not leave the car adaptor connected to the vehicle s power socket when the vehicle s ignition is switched off as this could drain the vehicle s battery e For best results disconnect the plug of the car adaptor from the power socket before the vehicle s ignition is switched off e When discon
