SOLEUSA Powered by e GREE Model No SG WAC 05SM 9 000 BTU Window Air Conditioner Operating Instructions SOLEUSAI5 Powered by Thank you for choosing a Soleus Air powered by Gree Air Conditioner This owner s manual will provide you with valuable information necessary for the proper care and maintenance of your new product Please take a few moments to thoroughly read the instructions and familiarize yourself with all the operational aspects of your new air conditioner For your own records please attach a copy of your sales receipt to this manual Also write the store name location date purchased and serial number below Store Name Location Date Purchased Serial Number located on back of unit ooo SE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Before installing and using your air conditioner please read this owner s manual carefully Store this manual in a safe place for future reference Your safety and the safety of others is very important to us Please pay attention to all safety messages outlined in this owner s manual WARNING To reduce the risk of fire electrical shock or injury when using your air conditioner follow the following basic precautions e Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet Do not use an extension cord e Do not remove the ground prong Unplug the air conditioner before servicing e Do not use a plug adapter Use two or more people to move and install the air conditioner This i2. Do this for each side eee the Unit Inside a Window Place the air conditioner on the sill with the bottom mounting rail against its back edge Center the air con ditioner and close the window securely behind the top mounting rail The air conditioner should be slightly tilted to the outside area Use a level about a 1 3 bub ble will be the correct case slant to the outside See Once the accordion panels are slid into place adjust FIG 5 amp FIG 6 the top and bottom rails of the accordion panels into the top and bottom rails of the air conditioner See FIG 4 2 Once the air conditioner is placed extend both the left and right accordion panels to the width of the window ASSEMBLY amp INSTALLATION CONT Frame Lock Sash Lock and Foam Seal 3 To secure the lower sash into place use the sash lock Installation and a 3 4 screw as shown below See FIG 12 MOUNTING HARDWARE 3 4 Screws Frame Lock Sash Lock Tools Needed Phillips Screw Driver For added insulation cut the supplied insulation foam to Drill if plot holes are needed the width of the window Insert the foam between the window sashes to prevent air and objects from getting into the room See FIG 13 Place the frame lock between the extended accordion panels and the window sill as show in FIG 8 Screwa 3 4 19 mm locking screw through the frame lock and into the window sill FIG 9 2 Drive 1 2 screws into the top of t

OF THE MANUFACTURER SOLEUS INTERNATIONAL HAS NOT CONDUCTED INDEPENDENT TEST TO THE INFORMATION AND THE SPECIFICATIONS PRESENTED HEREWITHIN boo INSTALLATION amp ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Some assembly is required for your new air conditioner Please read and follow these instructions carefully 1 This air conditioner is designed to be installed in a standard double hung window with a window width between 23 and 36 584 mm 914 mm 2 The air conditioner can be installed without the 7 k aa accordion panels to fit in a narrow window opening f lt i 550 mm to 914 mm See the window dimensions 3 The Lower Sash the lower part of the window that moves up and down must allow for 14 5 of vertical clearance when open See FIG 1 4 All supporting parts must be secured to firm wood masonry or metal 5 The electrical outlet must be within reach of the power cord NOTE Save the product packaging and installation instruc tions for future reference Store the air conditioner in the product box when not in use for an extended period of time Top Rail Assembly The top rail must be assembled prior to installing the air conditioner in the window S Top Rail Tools Needed Phillips Screw Driver Top Rail Hardware QTY Attaching the Top Rail to the Air Conditioner 1 Remove the air conditioner from the box and place on a hard flat surface 2 Remove top rail from the bottom of the packaging material
4. as shown in FIG A 3 Align the hole in the top rail with those in the top of the unit as shown in FIG B 4 Secure the top rail to the unit with the 3 8 Screws as shown in FIG C CAUTION When handling the unit be careful to avoid cuts from the sharp metal edges and aluminum fins on the front and rear coils NOTE For safety reasons all 4 screws must be used to attach the top rail boo O ASSEMBLY amp INSTALLATION CONT Accordion Panel Installation Storm Window Requirements Now that you have installed the top rail you can now install A storm window frame will not allow the air conditioner to the accordion panels on each side tilt properly which in turn will keep it from draining properly To adjust for this attach a board or piece of wood to the Bi seadhe ain condiicheronca hardaleccurace sill The board or wood piece should have a depth of at l l l least 1 1 2 Make sure the board or piece of wood is ap Locate the accordion panels in the box proximately 1 2 higher than the storm window frame This Gently pull the free end of the accordion panel See will allow the air conditioner to tilt enough for proper drain FIG 2 Do this for both panels age See FIG 2 11 2 MIN Board or wood 38 mm piece must be approximately a _ 1 2 higher than the storm window frame for proper 4 Slide the free end of the accordion panel into the side drainage panel of the air conditioner See FIG 3

8. he accordion panel frame and the top rail to securely attach the window air Removing the Air Conditioner from the conditioner to the lower sash See FIG 11 12 Window Turn the air conditioner off and disconnect the power cord Remove the sash seal from between windows and unscrew sash lock Remove the screws installed through the frame and frame lock Close slide the side panels into frame Keeping a firm grip on air conditioner raise the sash and carefully rock air conditioner backward to drain any condensate water in base of unit Be careful not to spill any remaining water while lifting unit from window Store parts WITH the air conditioner in the box USING YOUR AIR CONDITIONER Operating Your Air Conditioner Manual Control Panel 1 Power Turn on the unit by rotating the MODE dial to the desired setting 2 Cooling Mode For maximum cooling set the wait 3minutes MODE dial to HIGH COOL In HIGH COOL before restarting unit mode the fan will automatically go to high This will help circulate the cool air throughout TEMP the room The fan will operate on low in LOW COOL mode Fan Mode For fan only modes choose either HIGH FAN or LOW FAN The air conditioner will not cool the room when in fan mode Thermostat Turn the TEMP dial to set the desired room temperature For maximum cooling turn the TEMP dial to 7 coolest coolest Fi Directional Louvers To direct the airflow rotate the s
