Refer to the diagram below The HP1 15 50 Electric Patio Heater is equipped with three heat settings Low Medium and High To operate the heater on low press the red switch on the right This switch will have a single white dot near the top Once the low switch is pressed the smaller bottom heating element will glow and radiate heat To operate the heater on medium press the red switch on the left This switch will have two white dots near the top Once the medium switch 1s pressed the larger top heating element will glow and radiate heat To operate the heater on high press both the low and medium red switches This will cause both the bot tom and top heating elements to glow and radiate heat HEATER CONTROLS MAINTENANCE Unplug the unit and let it cool completely e To keep the heater clean the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft damp cloth You may use a mild detergent if necessary After cleaning dry the unit with a soft cloth e DO NOT use alcohol gasoline abrasive powders furniture polish or rough brushes to clean the heater This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater e Although this heater is outdoor approved DO NOT immerse the heater in water for your safety Wait until the unit is completely dry before use WHEN THE HEATER IS NOT IN USE When not using the heater for an extended period of time place the electrical cord inside the decorative cone that covers the bottom part of

8. om of the pole Align the screw holes and secure tightly using 3 pole connector screws H 5 After securing the middle pole F place the cord through the second pole connector D and connect it to the bottom of the middle pole F Align the screw holes on the pole connector D with the screw holes on the bottom of the middle pole and secure using 3 of the supplied pole connector screws H 6 Now place the power cord through the base pole G and base B you assembled earlier Make sure the cord is pulled all the way through the base to provide optimal length Once the cord is placed through the base connect the base pole G to the pole connector D on the bottom of the middle pole F Align the screw holes on the pole connector with the screw holes on the top of the base pole and secure using 3 of the supplied pole connector screws H 7 Before using the heater align the power cord with the cutout on the weighted base and secure using the attached fasteners on the bottom of the weighted base There is one fastener located near the middle of the weighted base and another fastener located near the cutout at the end of the base Place the cord through each fastener and tighten to secure the cord to the base After securing the power cord to the fasteners place the rubber ring located around the power cord in the cutout on the weighted base Properly attaching the power cord to the weighted bases will allow the heate
9. r to be moved easily and prevent damage to the power cord PLACING INSIDE PATIO TABLE UMBRELLA HOLE If desired the Soleus Air Electric Patio Heater can be placed in a standard 2 umbrella hole found in many patio tables This heater may not fit non standard smaller umbrella holes found on some tables Before placing the unit inside the umbrella hole in patio table unplug the unit and let it cool completely First unfasten the power cord under the base so that it is loose and able to be removed Now remove the pole connector screws H that attach the base pole G to the middle pole F make sure the pole connec tor is still attached to the base pole Once the base pole G is apart from the middle pole F remove the power cord from inside the base Next place the base directly under the umbrella hole in your patio table Now place the rest of the assembled heater through the umbrella hole in the patio table place the power cord through the base pole G underneath the umbrella hole and attach the middle pole F to the base G pole with the pole connector screws H Before plugging the heater in for use align and fasten the power cord with the cutout and secure using the fasteners on the bottom of the base gt OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Place the heater on a firm level surface and plug into a grounded 120V 60Hz power outlet Only operate the heater when it is in the upright position and the base 1s attached
10. the pole To do so simply lift the cone and wrap the electrical cord around the bottom pole When the cord is completely wrapped around the pole slide the cone back down covering the cord and bottom of the pole STORAGE If the heater will not be used for a long period of time store it in a cool dry location when not in use To prevent dust and dirt build up use the original packaging to repack the unit TROUBLESHOOTING If the heater will not operate please check the following before seeking repair of service e Check if the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet if not plug in e Check if electricity to the main fuse is working e Make certain the power switches are turned on If not choose a setting 10 WARRANTY One Year Limited Warranty Soleus International Inc warrants the accompanying Soleus Air HP1 15 50 Electric Patio Heater to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the applications specified in its operation instruction for a period of ONE 1 year from the date of original retail purchase in the United States If the unit exhibits a defect in normal use Soleus International Inc will at its option either repair or replace it free of charge within a reasonable time after the unit is returned during the warranty period As acondition to any warranty service obligation the consumer must present this Warranty Certificate along with a copy of the original purchase invoice THIS WARRANTY DOES
11. upplied assembly wrench and Allen wrench or one of your own Refer to the parts diagram on page 5 while assembling the heater 1 First attach the base pole G to the weighted base B using the 3 base bolts J and 3 nuts K Once you secure the base pole to the weighted base B place the decorative cone C over the base pole G to cover the bolts on the base SSS 2 Next place the power cord attached to the heater head A through the middle of the top pole E The top pole E will have two smaller screw holes located at the top and larger screw holes at the bottom Align the small screw holes with the holes on the bottom of the heater head Use the small heater head connector screws I to secure the heater head A to the top pole E Q IN Up x k BF r EE ON d woy TENA J E 4 r S ind 3 hen 1 4 pY s En TTN had i bl K 5 E 3 After securing the heater head and top pole place the cord through the first pole connector D and con nect it to the bottom of the top pole E Align the screw holes on the pole connector D with the screw holes on the bottom of the top pole E and secure using 3 of the supplied pole connector screws H 4 Now find the middle pole F and place the power cord through the middle of the pole and attach it to the pole connector D you secured to the top pole E The middle pole F will have identical screw holes near the top and bott
