20. 149 Connecting Your Phone to Your PC Before using your phone s mass storage capabilities you need to prepare your device s data services to synchronize with your desktop or laptop computer Once your phone is connected to your PC you can transfer your data in the microSD card quickly andeasily To connect your phone to your PC 1 Withthe microSD inserted select gt Tools gt USB Connection gt Mass Storage 2 Connect your phone to your PC using the provided USB cable Wait for the connection to complete When connected the host computer will automatically detect your phone To remove the connection gt When you have finished click on the USB device icon on your computer s task bar and follow the instructions provided to safely unplug the USB cable The process may vary depending on the PC Note We recommend using Windows 2000 ME XP Synchronization is guaranteed only for computers using one of these operating systems Note To avoid loss of data DO NOT remove the USB cable the microSD card orthe battery while files are being accessed or transferred Note DO NOT change or edit the folder file name in the microSD card via the computer or attempt to transfer large amounts of data from the computer tothe microSD card as these actions could result in microSD card failure 150 Section 21 Using the microSD Card Note DO NOT restart or turn off your computer or put it into standby mode while using
