3. the following precautions should be taken Do not put any flammable object or spray can near the projector hot air is exhausted from the ventilation holes Keep the exhaust vent at least 3 1 m away from any objects Do not touch a peripheral part of the exhaust vent especially screws and metallic part This area will become hot while the projector is being used Do not put anything on the cabinet Objects put on the cabinet will not only get damaged but also cause fire hazard by heat Do not cover vents with papers or other materials Make sure that there are no objects under the projector An object under the projector may prevent the projector from taking cooling air through bottom vent When carrying the projector retract the adjustable feet to prevent damage to the lens and cabinet and use a suitable carrying case Do not put the projector in a case before it is cooled enough Do not transport the projector by courier or any other transport service in an unsuitable transport case This may cause damage to the projector For information about transporting the projector by courier or any other transport service consult your dealer When this projector is not in use for an extended period put it into a suitable case to protect the projector For ceiling mounting you need the ceiling mount kit designed for this projector When not mounted properly the projector may fall causing hazards or injury For details cons

13. n the control panel 6 The POWER LED will now flash green The startup screen will display in approximately 5 seconds When disappear startup screen the POWER LED will turn green Turn on your source computer notebook video player etc The projector will detect your source automatically If you connect multiple sources at the same time use the INPUT on the remote control or use COMPUTER 1 COMPUTER 2 S VIDEO VIDEO HDMI on the remote control to switch inputs ON STAND BY 15 English 16 Powering Off the Projector Press the ON STAND BY to turn off the projector lamp you will see a message as below on the on screen display Press Power Button to Turn off Projector Press the ON STAND BY again to confirm The cooling fan continues to operate for about 60 seconds for cooling cycle and the POWER LED will flash green When the light starts flashing orange the projector has entered standby mode If you wish to turn the projector back on you must wait until the projector has completed the cooling cycle and has entered standby mode Once in standby mode simply press ON STAND BY to restart the projector Disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet and the projector Do not turn on the projector immediately following a power off procedure On Screen Display The Projector has a multilingual On Screen Display that al lows yo
14. n you see this message change the lamp as soon as pos sible Make sure the projector has been cooled down for at least 45 minutes before changing the lamp o N Lamp Replacing Procedure 1 Switch off the power of the projector by pressing the ON STAND BY Allow the projector to cool down at least 45 minutes Disconnect the power cable Use a screwdriver to remove the 2 screws from the cover 9 Push up and remove the cover Remove the 2 screws from the lamp module and pull up the lamp bar Pull out the lamp module by force 9 Install the new lamp module by reversing the previous steps After replacing the lamp turn on the power and select the menu gt Setting gt Lamp Counter Reset to reset the lamp usage hours a N ORDER REPLACEMENT LAMP Replacement lamp can be ordered through your dealer When ordering a projection lamp give the following information to the dealer a Model No of your projector PDG DWL100 a Replacement Lamp Type No POA LMP138 Service Parts No CHSP8EM01GC01 or 610 346 4633 J M N NLAMP HANDLING PRECAUTIONS This projector uses a high pressure lamp which must be handled carefully and properly Improper handling may result in accidents injury or create a fire hazard m Lamp life may differ from lamp to lamp and according to the environment of use There is no guarantee of the same life for each lamp S
15. om the projection lens Do not stare directly into the lens otherwise eye damage could result Be especially careful that children do not stare directly into the beam Do not set the projector in greasy wet or smoky conditions such as in a kitchen to prevent a breakdown or a disaster If the projector comes in contact with oil or chemicals it may become deteriorated Install the projector in a proper position Improper positioning may reduce the lamp life and result in severe accident or fire hazard If the projector is unused for an extended time unplug the projector from the power outlet Care must be taken when handling the projector do not drop bump subject it to strong forces or put other things on the cabinet Do not cover the ventilation slots on the projector Heat build up can reduce the service life of your projector and can also be dangerous Allowing the proper amount of space on the top sides and rear of the projector cabinet is critical for proper air circulation and cooling of the unit The diagrams shown here indicates the minimum space required If the projector is to be built into a compartment or similarly enclosed these minimum distances must be maintained SIDE and TOP REAR 1 5 50 cm 1 5 50 cm 1 5 50 cm 3 1m Avoid positioning the projector as described below when installing 9 Do not roll the projector Do not pitch the projector more than 9 degrees from mor
16. ome lamps may fail or terminate their life in a shorter period of time than other similar lamps m If the projector indicates that the lamp should be replaced i e if the lamp life warning message appears replace the lamp with a new one IMMEDIATELY after the projector has cooled down Follow carefully the instructions in the Lamp Re placement section of this manual Continuous use of the lamp with showing the lamp life warning message may increase the risk of lamp explosion m A Lamp may explode as a result of vibration shock or degradation as a result of hours of use as its lifetime draws to an end Risk of explosion may differ according to the environment or conditions in which the projector and lamp are being used IF A LAMP EXPLODES THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN If a lamp explodes disconnect the projector s AC plug from the AC outlet immedi ately Contact an authorized service station for a checkup of the unit and replace ment of the lamp Additionally check carefully to ensure that there are no broken shards or pieces of glass around the projector or coming out from the cooling air circulation holes Any broken shards found should be cleaned up carefully No one should check the inside of the projector except those who are authorized trained technicians and who are familiar with projector service Inappropriate attempts to service the unit by anyone especially those who are not appropriately trained to do so may

19. u to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings The projector will automatically detect the source How to operate 1 To open the OSD press MENU on the Remote Control 2 When OSD is displayed use lt P keys to select any item in the main menu While making a selection on a particular page press W key to enter sub menu 3 Use A W keys to select the desired item in the sub menu and adjust the settings by lt q P key 4 If the setting has H icon you could press ENTER to enter another sub menu Press MENU to close the sub menu after adjustment 5 After adjusting the settings press MENU go back to the main menu 6 To exit press MENU again The OSD will be closed and the projector will automatically save the new settings Note Main Menu If no button operation is made for 30 seconds the OSD will be closed automatically Sub Menu Setting 17 A Warning To avoid burns allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before you replace the lamp Ay Warning To reduce the risk of personal injury do not drop the lamp module or touch the lamp bulb The bulb may shatter and cause injury if it is dropped Warning For contin ued safety replace with a lamp of the same type 18 Replacing the lamp The projector will detect the lamp life itself It will show youa warning message Please replace lamp to keep the best performance Whe
