Cool Edge Griddle Use and Care Guide MAXGW1 1 READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WARNING A risk of fire and electrical shock exists in all electrical appliances and may cause personal injury or death Please follow all safety instructions IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following W Read all instructions before using appliance E Do not touch hot surfaces Use handles or knobs E To protect against electric shock do not immerse probe cord or plug in water or other liquids See Cleaning Instructions W This appliance is not for use by children Ml Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used near children E Do not leave appliance unattended while in use E Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance W Always attach probe to Griddle before plugging cord into wall outlet To disconnect turn temperature control knob to OFF then remove plug from wall outlet E Do not operate any damaged appliance Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner Contact Salton Consumer Service for return authorization examination repair or adjustment E The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries E2. Plug into 120V AC outlet Align the pointer to the proper temperature on temperature control knob The light on the probe will illuminate The unit is preheated when the light on the probe goes off The light will cycle on and off during use indicating the proper temperature is being maintained When cooking is finished turn temperature control knob on control probe to OFF position unplug from outlet and cool before cleaning N UJ UI CAUTION Because some countertop finishes are more affected by heat than others use care not to place Griddle on surfaces where heat may cause a problem CAUTION Griddle surfaces are hot during use MAXGW1 Use and Care Guide Hints For Care and Use of Non Stick Surface E To avoid scratching the non stick surface do not stack objects on Griddle E Use medium to low heat for best cooking results Very high temperatures can cause discoloration and shorten the life span of any non stick surface If higher temperatures are necessary preheat on medium for a few minutes E Use only nylon plastic or wooden utensils with care to avoid scratching the non stick surface Never cut food on the Griddle E Remove stubborn stains with a plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL Temperature Control Probe Use only the temperature control probe P N 21698 supplied with this product Using any other type of temperature control probe may cause fire electric shock or
