FRosewil RMS MA2740 User Manual LCD MONITOR WALL MOUNT INSTRUCTION MANUAL Tools Required Phillips Head Screw Driver Electric or Portable Drill 1 8 3 mm Drill Bit and Stud Finder for Drywall Installation 5 16 8 mm Masonry Bit for Concrete Installation Make sure these instructions are read and thoroughly understood before attempting installation If you are unsure of any part of the installation process contact a professional installer for assistance The wall or mounting surface must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and the display otherwise the structure must be reinforced Safety gear and proper tools must be used Failure to do so can result in property damage and or serious injury Follow all instructions and recommendations regarding adequate ventilation and suitable locations for mounting your display Consult the owner s manual for your display for more information N Hardware Included A Drywall Screw x2 E Spacer x4 B Concrete Anchor x2 F S3 Allen Key x1 C M4x12 Bolt x4 G S4 Allen Key x1 amp D M4x30 Bolt x4 Part 1A Installing the Wall Plate Drywall IMPORTANT For safety reasons this mount must be secured to a wood stud The stud must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and the display Use a high quality stud finder to locate a single stud where you want to install your mount 2 Mark both edges of2. and carefully slide the mount upwards and out of the wall plate For extra security and stability tighten the set screw located on the wall plate using the S3 Allen Key F provided with the hardware kit Remember to loosen the set screw before attempting to remove the mount from the wall N o Q a Operation and Adjustment Y 4 To adjust the tilt angle of your mount hold the display with one hand and 3 loosen the tilt adjustment knob Move the display to the desired position and re tighten the knob Other adjustments can be made by simple moving the J mount into the desired position o 2 If you find that a joint is too difficult to move or has become too loose you can adjust the tightness using the S4 Allen Key J supplied in the hardware kit Thank you for purchasing a quality Rosewill Product Please register your product at www rosewill com for complete warranty information and future support for your product
3. the stud to help identify the exact center 3 Place the wall plate over the center of the marked stud and level it using the integrated bubble level 4 Mark the two holes for securing the mount and set the wall plate aside 5 6 Installation v Drill a pilot hole at each marked location using an electric or portable drill and 1 8 3 mm bit Move the wall plate back into position and secure it using the Drywall Screws A from the hardware kit Do not over tighten these screws Part 1B Installing the Wall Plate Concrete IMPORTANT For safety reasons the concrete wall must be capable of supporting the combined weight of the mount and the display 1 Place the wall plate against the wall in the desired location and level it using the integrated bubble level 2 Mark the two holes for securing the mount and set the wall plate aside 3 Drill a 5 16 8 mm hole at both marked location Remove any excess dust from the holes i 4 Insert a Concrete Anchor P into each hole so that it is flush with the concrete surface A hammer can be used to lightly tap the anchors into place if necessary osewill RMS MA2740 User Manual NOTE If the concrete wall is covered by a layer of plaster or drywall the concrete anchor must pass completely through the layer to rest flush with the concrete surface 5 Move the wall plate back into position and secure it using the Drywall Screws A from the hardware kit Do not over
4. tighten these bolts Part 2 Attaching the Mount to the Display IMPORTANT Use extra care during this part of the installation If possible avoid placing your display facedown as it may damage the viewing surface NOTE Your mount comes with a selection of different bolt diameters and P ty lengths to accommodate a wide variety of display models Not all of the hardware in the kit will be used 1 Determine the correct bolt to use by examining the back of your display A If the back of your display is flat and the mounting holes are flush with the surface you will use one the M4x12 Bolts C from the hardware kit B If the back of your display is curved has a protrusion or if the mounting holes are recessed you will need to use one the M4x30 Bolts D and the Spacers E 2 Attach the mount to the back of your display using the hardware identified in Step 1 Make sure all screws are secure but do not over tighten NOTE If the holes of the mount do not line up with the holes on your display check to make sure that your display is VESA compatible ei if This mount can only be used with displays that are VESA 75 or VESA 100 compatible J Part 3 Final Assembly To complete the installation simply slide the mount with your display attached into the wall plate The plastic tab at the top of the wall plate will click to indicate that the mount is secure To remove the mount from the wall push in on the plastic tab
