EDIR0O F V 4 Cross Fader Owner s Manual Before using this unit carefully read the sections entitled USING THE UNIT SAFELY and IMPORTANT NOTES These sections provide important information concerning the proper operation of the unit Additionally in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new unit Owner s Manual should be read in its entirety The manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference Adjusting the V 4 The V 4 requires adjustment whenever the cross fader is replaced or the stroke is adjusted 1 Connect the PREVIEW OUT jack on the V 4 to a television monitor Fig 1 Installing the Cross Fader 1 Switch off the power to the V 4 2 Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the screws at the four corners of the video fader Fig 1 3 Turn the video fader upside down and detach the cable connecting the V 4 to the video fader The cable is held in place by a hook on the video fader Detach the cable from the hook Fig 2 then disconnect the connector on the video fader Fig 2 When reinstalling the video fader orient the connector as shown in the figure and insert it After attaching the connector secure the cable in place on the hook Portions of the connector for the video fader are sharp When unplugging or inserting the connector be careful not to get your hands cut 4 Orient the connector as shown in the figure and ins2. drop it edn e unit e Before installing the cross fader unit you must first Z always turn off the V 4 and unplug its power cord CAUTION e Never climb on top of nor place heavy objects on the e If the unit could become a hazard if it moves all caster Q unit S wheels should be removed once the unit has been placed at the place of installation or has been loaded onto a vehicle e Should you remove screw keep them in a safe place Q out of children s reach so there is no chance of them being swallowed accidentally 0000 OOOOH OHHHHOHOHHHHHHOHHHOHOHOHHHHOOHOO8 IMPORTANT INVES ccaiccserewcdedcdvcvevavecsecstcewccsexeicescs e In addition to the items listed under USING THE UNIT SAFELY please read and observe the following e Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight place it near devices e The subsequent performance of the unit cannot be assured that radiate heat leave it inside an enclosed vehicle or after the user has subjected the cross fader to any form of otherwise subject it to temperature extremes Excessive heat disassembly or modification can deform or discolor the unit e Use a reasonable amount of care when using the unit s sliders e When moved from one location to another where the temper and other controls Rough handling can lead to malfunctions ature and or humidity is very different water droplets e When connecting or disconnecting any cable grasp the condensation may form inside the unit Damage
