5. 1 Open the two side panels 2 Slide the door onto the two hinge pins mak ing sure the two pieces are Two eces flush together pisos See diagram flush 1 3 Close the door The latch plate must be centered around the alignment pin See diagram 2 If the latch plate interferes with the corner of the stove you may want to angle the plate slightly so the door closes easier Diagram 1 EE latch Latch plate o Alignment Diagram 2 4 Thelatches should already be atthe proper setting If they are too hard or too easy to close you may want to adjust them by loosening the locking nut and turning the latch catch See diagram 3 5 Removethe blue plastic protective coating from the glass 6 Test the seal around the door by placing a piece of paper between the unit and the door close the door and try to pull the paper out If it slips out easily then the door is not properly sealed Tighten or loosen the latch by turning the latch catch inward or outward See diagram 3 Note The door latch may require adjust ment as the door gasket material compresses after a few fires and after glass replacement Turn the latch catch inward or outward Catch 0 Pp s PR Diagram 3 GAS PIPE PRESSURE TESTING The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual shut off valve during any pressure

7. 1 Turn off the flame switch 2 Push in the gas control knob slightly and turn clockwise gt to OFF Do not force 3 Turn off all electric power to the appliance if service is to be performed You may shut off the pilot during prolonged non use periods to conserve fuel 26 U37 1 Regency ULTIMATE Rear Vent Direct Vent Freestanding Gas Stove MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS 1 Always turn off the valve before cleaning For relighting refer to lighting instructions Keep the burner and control compartment clean by brushing and vacuuming at least once a year When cleaning the logs use a soft clean paint brush as the logs are fragile and easily damaged 2 Clean glass never when unit is hot appli ance louvers and door with a damp cloth Never use an abrasive cleaner The gold louvers and optional gold door may be scratched if abrasives are used to clean them The heater is finished in a heat resistant paint and should only be refinished with heat resistant paint not with wall paint Regency uses StoveBright Paint Metallic Black 6309 3 Make a periodic check of burner for proper position and condition Visually check the flame ofthe burner periodically making sure the flames are steady not lifting or floating If there is a problem call a qualified service person 4 The appliance and venting system must be inspected before use and atleast annually

9. 3 Remove burner See diagram below 6 Remove burner orifice with a 1 2 wrench Use another wrench to hold on to the elbow behind the orifice Discard orifice Note Use a magnetic type screwdriver if possible Burner Orifice Pilot assembly is now accessible 7 Reinstall new burner orifice LPG 4 Pull off the pilot cap to expose the pilot stamped 52 and tighten orifice 5 8 Turn control knob to the OFF position 18 U37 1 Regency ULTIMATE Rear Vent Direct Vent Freestanding Gas Stove INSTALLATION 9 Pull off the Hi Lo gas extension knob to access the orifice Hi Lo Extension Knob a p 1 CAU y NN J 7 D P lt MC m d a gt PILOT nd HEAT 10 Remove the black protection cap by hand from the hi low knob Fig 1 11 Insert a 5 32 or 4mm Allen wrench into the hexagonal key way of the screw Fig 2 rotate it counter and extract it clockwise until it is free 12 Check that the screw is clean and if necessary remove dirt 14 Using the Allen wrench as shown in Fig 4 rotate the screw clockwise until snug do not overtighten SF a Fig 4 12 X LA WARNING Do not over tighten the screw Recommended to grip the wrench by the short side 15 Verify that if the conversion is from NG to LPG the screw must be re assem bled with the red o ring vis

11. 152mm masonry opening IF there is sheet rock only no studs in front of the masonry the 10 254mm clear opening is still needed but does not need to be framed This allows the Retro Connector to mount directly on the masonry and provide clear ance to the combustibles Diagram 11 Secure the Flashing Part 705C to the top of the masonry chimney using a bead of non hardening sealant adhesive If the Flashing is larger than the top of the chimney then cut and fold flashing as needed to fit chimney Diagram 7 4 5 6 T Cut and bend Flashing as needed to fit chimney Diagram 7 To determine the length of flex required measure from 3 76mm above the top of the Flashing down to the level of the open ing Add to this measurement the distance fromthe center ofthe chimney to outthrough the wall Cut a piece of 4 flex to this length the flex should already be extended to its nominal length Connect the 4 flex liner to the Top Adaptor Part 985K using 3 sheet metal screws Diagram 2 Feed the 4 flex liner through the Flashing into the chimney Continue to feed the liner out through the opening in the masonry wall Secure the Top Adaptor to the Flashing Use 3 sheet metal screws through the side of the adaptor into the flange on the Flashing diagram 8 Twist lock the Termination Cap Part 980 or 991 on to the Top Adaptor w ed Termination Cap

OFF unless knob is pushed in slightly Do not force 1 Push in gas control knob slightly and turn to PILOT position PILOT BURNER TI 2 Push in control knob all the way and hold in until the pilot lights l 2 VEILLEUSE up Continue to hold the control knob in for about 20 seconds THERMOPILE 2 T 1 after the pilot is lit Release knob ELEMENT 1 Jy r dd E THERMO 20 6 ELECTRIQUE 4 Turn ON the flame switch 3 Push in gas control knob slightly and turn to ON position 2 Wait five 5 minutes to clear out any gas If you then smell gas STOP follow B in the safety information above on this label If you don t smell gas go to the next step 3 Turn knob on gas control counterclockwise to PILOT Gas Inlet gt 4 Push in control knob all the way and hold in Immediately push black button on spark igniter until pilot lights Continue to hold the control knob in for about 1 2 minute after the pilot is lit Release knob and it will pop back up Pilot should remain lit If it goes out repeat steps 3 and 4 If knob does not pop up when released stop and immediately call your service technician or gas supplier If the pilot will not stay lit after several tries turn the gas control knob to OFF and call your service technician or gas supplier 5 Turn gas control knob counterclockwise gt to ON 6 Use rocker switch to operate main burner TO TURN OFF GAS APPLIANCE
