3. batteries properly do not bury or burn them X NOTE X Press any of the rhythm selection keys to change the rhythm at any time INSTALLING BATTERIES The mixer requires six AA batteries not supplied for power For the best performance and longest life we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries 1 Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover and lift up the cover 2 Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols and marked inside the battery compartment X 3 Replace the cover and tighten the screw When the volume gets low the LED gets dim or the mixer does not operate normally replace all of the batteries A USING YOUR MIXER TURNING THE MIXER ON OFF Turn on your mixer by pressing any key except RHYTHM VOLUME or v RHYTHM TEMPO 4 or v or AUX CD INPUT The sound effect buttons flash randomly Your mixer does not turn off automatically To turn it off press POWER OFF The lights turn off PLAYING THE RHYTHMS Your mixer can play up to 21 different rhythms 1 To select a background rhythm repeatedly press RHYTHM SELECTION 1 7 8 14 or 15 21 WX 2 Repeatedly press RHYTHM VOLUME or w to adjust the rhythm s volume 3 Press RHYTHM TEMPO 4 or w to speed up or slow down the rhythm s tempo 4 Hold down RHYTHM EFFECT to slice the rhythm effect Press RHYTHM PAUSE to temporarily pause the rhythm Press RHYTHM PLAY to continue the music

6. from where it s paused 5 Press STOP to turn off the rhythm PLAYING THE DISC EFFECT SELECTION AND SCRATCH DISC You can select from 21 different disc effects 1 Repeatedly press DISC EFFECT SELECTION 1 7 8 14 or 15 21 to select an effect 2 Turn the scratch disc clockwise Q Jor counterclockwise to distort or scratch the sound effect X7 PLAYING THE SOUND EFFECT There are a total of 10 sets of sound effects Each set has 6 pre recorded effects 1 Press EFFECT SELECTION 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or 9 10 once or twice to select a sound effect Then press any of the six sound effect buttons to hear the selected sound effect Xf 2 Press SOUND EFFECT VOLUME or v to adjust the sound effect volume USING AUX CD You can connect your music player to the mixer so you can jam to the music with your own effects just like a Disco DJ 1 Plug one end of the supplied cable into your CD player output or headphone jack then plug the other end into the INPUT jack on the left side of the mixer 2 Press AUX CD ON or AUX CD OFF to turn the external input on or off 3 Rotate AUX CD INPUT to adjust the external music volume X 4 Press the desired effect buttons to mix the selected rhythms with your music 5 Press STOP on the mixer to turn off the selected rhythms The external input sound also turns off Press AUX CD ON to turn the sound back on W HINT X Disc Effect Selection and Scratch Disc Sound Effect
