To view the alarm time while the current time is dis played press ALARM SET Turning the Alarm Buzzer Radio On or Off You can set your clock radio to either sound a buzzer or play the radio at the preset alarm time To sound a buzzer set ON OFF AUTO ALARM to ALARM To play the radio make sure the radio is tuned to your de sired station Then set ON OFF AUTO ALARM to AUTO To turn off the buzzer or radio set ON OFF AUTO ALARM to OFF or press ALARM SET 12 e o o A Ai 12 1607 fm Page 13 Friday July 9 1999 9 32 AM Notes The indicator on the lower left corner of the display lights when the alarm is turned on If you do not turn off the alarm the buzzer or radio sounds for 1 hour 59 minutes If you press ALARM SET to silence the alarm the alarm sounds again the next day at the preset alarm time If you set ON OFF AUTO ALARM to OFF to silence the alarm you must set it to AUTO or ALARM again to have the alarm sound the next day at the preset alarm time Using SNOOZE To silence the alarm but have it sound again in about 9 min utes press SNOOZE a k de S A Ai 12 1607 fm Page 14 Friday July 9 1999 9 32 AM Notes e You can repeatedly press SNOOZE for up to 1 hour and 59 minutes After 1 hour and 59 minutes the alarm buzzer or radio does not come on again until the next day at the preset alarm time e If BATTERY SENTINEL lights when you press SNOOZE the backup
4. battery is getting low USING THE SLEEP TIMER You can set the radio to play for up to 1 hour and 59 minutes and then automatically turn off To set the sleep timer set ON OFF AUTO ALARM to OFF AUTO or ALARM then press SLEEP i A Ai 12 1607 fm Page 15 Friday July 9 1999 9 32 AM For a playing time of 59 minutes or less press and hold down SLEEP Then repeatedly press or press and hold MINUTE until the display shows the desired minute setting For a playing time between 1 hour and 1 hour 59 minutes press and hold down SLEEP Then press HOUR until the sleep timer passes 0 00 and 1 59 shows on the display Contin ue to hold down SLEEP and press MINUTE until the display shows the desired setting To turn off the sleep timer before it automatically turns off press SNOOZE Y AVY is 7 amp 12 1607 fm Page 16 Friday July 9 1999 9 32 AM THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW Your Radio Shack Chronomatic 312 AM FM LED Alarm Clock Radio might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly To determine whether your clock radio is causing the interference turn it off If the inter ference goes away your clock radio is causing the interfer ence Try to eliminate the interference by e Moving your clock radio away from the receiver Contacting your local Radio Shack store for help If you cannot eliminate the interference the FCC requires that you stop using the clock radio
