Serial No VHS Introduction Congratulations on purchasing your new VCR You can t wait to get it working but before you do spare a few moments to read this brief introduction to the world of video recording It may repay you handsomely in terms of improved results and avoiding of costly mis takes Positioning Do not place the VCR directly on top of or underneath your TV set Ensure that there is at least 20 cm between the VCR and the TV set and that air can circulate freely through the ventilation openings of the VCR rr ee ee M a This VCR equipped with a HQ High Quality system is compatible with any other VHS VCR This VCR is also equipped with SQPB S VHS Quasi PlayBack making it possible to play back S VHS recordings with regular VHS resolution Philips Consumer Electronics Company recommends that you use only video cassette tapes that have been tested and inspected for use in two four six and eight hour VCRs and which are labeled with the mark The use of the tapes that have not been inspected for use in two four six and eight hour VCRs may result in poor picture quality and excessive deposits on the video heads which may not be covered by the warranty if damage occurs Note to the Cable TV System Installer This reminder is provided to call the Cable TV system installer s attention to Article 820 40 of the National Electrical Code which provides guidelines for pr
