No power Check if the AC power cord is properly connected No picture Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV Check if the TV is switched on Check the video connection Distorted or poor picture Sometimes a small amount of picture distortion may appear This is not a malfunction Clean the disc The DVD player does not start playback nsert a readable disc with the playback side facing down Check the disc type color system and regional code Check for any scratches or smudges on the disc Press SYSTEM MENU to turn off the setup menu screen Cancel the parental control rating function or change the rating level Moisture has condensed inside the system Remove the disc and leave the system turned on for about an hour The remote control does not work properly Point the remote control at the remote sensor of the unit Reduce the distance to the player Remove any possible obstacles Replace the batteries with new ones The DVD system does not respond when the buttons are pressed Disconnect the power plug from the outlet and insert again No sound or distorted sound Adjust the volume Check that the speakers are connected correctly No image is output when a function is selected Make sure the component is connected correctly Press the correct function button for the input source Considerable noise in radio broadcasts Tune in the correct frequency C

LE repeatedly to change the subtitle languages then press OK to select OFF Angle Press ANGLE repeatedly to change the angle s ook number then press OK to select A Parental control DVD Setting a rating level and password You can prohibit the playing of specified DVDs which are unsuitable for children Some DVD discs contain a restriction level which enables parents to remove scenes or prevent playback of discs by children Your DVD player has password device designed to prevent children from changing the level Selecting a rating level You DVD player has eight rating settings Level 1 provides the strictest viewing restrictions Note If your DVD is not encoded with a rating the Rating Level feature does not work Press SYSTEM MENU At the setup menu press A or W to select RATING then press OK Note The password is preset to 1234 The rating is preset to UNLOCK Enter a password and press OK Press OK repeatedly to select the desired level You cannot play DVD video discs rated higher than the level you selected unless you cancel the parental lock function For example when you select level 7 discs rated higher than level 7 are blocked and cannot be played Press SYSTEM MENU to exit IMPORTANT Some DVDs may prompt you for a password if they have a higher rating than the level you set If you get this prompt enter your password For DVDs that do not have the prompt display PAREN
