3. crank the Crank 8 clockwise in order to raise the hub above the self locking safety lock thereby locking the upper umbrella assembly into place See Figure 2 next page The Solar Umbrella is now ready for use SKU 95453 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 4 7 Allow the Solar Umbrella to charge for at least 8 hours in full sunlight 8 When needed turn the Switch 4 to the ON position to illuminate the Bulbs 3 on the Ribs 9 inside the Umbrella See Figures 3 and 4 Figure 2 9 lf you wish to tilt the upper part of the Umbrella for shade press the push but ton located in the upper pole area It will tilt to a 45 degree angle To straighten up the Umbrella push the button and reverse the tilt until the Tilt Mechanism 7 clicks into place for safety Note When tilting opening or closing the Umbrella watch your head for injuries Watch for pinched fingers See Figure 5 next page Figure 4 Figure 3 SKU 95453 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 5 10 11 Push Button Tilt Mechanism 7 Figure 5 When finished using the Umbrella make sure the Power Switch 4 is in its OFF position Turn the Crank 8 counterclockwise until the upper umbrella assembly is completely closed Store in a dry place For the next use of the Umbrella allow the allotted time for the Solar Panel to power up by setting it up in an area that has full sunlight If

7. wing pages refer to the Assembly Diagram at the end of this manual OPERATION Note This Umbrella is intended for use only with a heavy duty umbrella stand which is not provided with this product Order the Umbrela Stand fromm Harbor Freight Tools Ask for SKU 94041 Granite Stand 1 Before setting up and using make sure the Umbrella Light Switch 4 is turned off See Figure 3 page 5 2 Place the umbrella stand not included on a flat smooth surface Choose a sunny location allowing enough space for the height and the diameter of the Umbrella The Solar Panel 5 at the top of the Umbrella 1 needs to be in a sunny location in order to charge Allow at least 8 hours of sunlight for charging before first use Placing the Um brella under a tree or in a shady area will not allow the batteries to charge See Figure 1 Solar Panel 5 Figure 1 3 Caution DO NOT attempt to use this Umbrella in moderate or high wind con ditions Doing so may cause personal injury and or damage to the Umbrella and personal property 4 To assemble insert Lower Pole 2 with its threaded end upward securely into a heavy duty umbrella stand not included 5 Screw the Upper Pole 1 with its pre attached upper umbrella assembly securely into the Lower Pole 2 Caution DO NOT attempt to use this Umbrella in moderate or high wind conditions Doing so may cause personal injury and or damage to the Umbrella and personal property 6 Hand
