11. he original dispense amount To adjust the amount of coffee dispensed repeat the adjustment process again to create a new dispense amount 147155 rev3_Layout 1 02 09 2011 13 52 Page 6 ce Temperature Indicator Light Adjusting the height of the Drip Tray The Temperature Indicator Light 9 flashes slowly when the boiler is heating this is normal You can adjust the height of the Drip Tray to The Temperature Indicator Light will flash fast and reduce splashing when dispensing coffee into the coffee maker will not work when there is a smaller cups such as espresso cups problem If this occurs check e The water tank is full and correctly installed e The steam control is set to off e Any air locks have been removed Sleep mode Please note your coffee maker has a sleep mode to save energy If your coffee maker is not used for 15 minutes your coffee maker will enter sleep mode The Temperature Indicator Light 9 flashes slowly in this mode Press the two Drip Tray Adjustment Buttons 12 to release the spring catch and raise or lower the drip tray To wake the machine slide and release either the one 6 or two cup 7 switch Emptying the Drip Tray Using the correct type of When the water in the Drip Tray is full the Drip coffee grinds Tray Level Indicator 13 will change colour When making espresso coffee it is important to use the correct type of coffee grinds Espresso coffee is a very fine grind wh
12. ich is designed to work with espresso filters Using other types of coffee in an espresso filter such as filter coffee grinds will result in a poorer tasting coffee and could clog the filter E S E Pods The coffee maker is compatible with both E S E pods a compact coffee pod with a paper filter covering as well as ground espresso coffee 1 Remove the Drip Tray 11 from the appliance and When making espresso with an E S E pod use empty the One Cup E S E Pod Filter 14 2 Clean the Grid and Drip Tray with a damp cloth before replacing 147155 rev3_Layout 1 02 09 2011 13 52 Page 7 Care and cleaning 1 Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply 2 Make sure the appliance has completely cooled down 3 Simply wipe the Steam Wand 3 and exterior with a clean damp cloth Do not use any abrasives or metal scourers as this will damage the finish on the unit 4 The Filter Holder 16 and Water Tank 5 should be washed after each use by rinsing them under water To assist in keeping the Filter Holder clean we recommend you periodically run the machine with the Filter Holder in place without coffee using water only Should the holes in the filter become blocked with coffee grinds use a fine bristled brush to help clean When your coffee maker is not being used we recommend that you do not leave the filter holder attached to the machine as this will reduce the life of the gasket 5 Remove the Drip Tra
13. the coffee maker is ready Place an empty mug under the Steam Wand 3 Turn the Steam Control 2 to On to start dispensing hot water Before first use e Take your coffee maker out of the box and remove the packaging e Wash the detachable parts of the machine in warm soapy water e The first time you use your coffee maker operate with water only e Occasionally air locks can be present before first use Please refer to troubleshooting guide page 8 to resolve Adjusting the espresso memory function The coffee maker can dispense two different amounts of coffee The coffee maker comes with the following amounts set as the default settings One Cup 50ml Two Cup 100ml When the desired amount has been dispensed turn the Steam Control to Off BEFORE removing the mug from underneath the Steam Wand You can adjust these amounts for your own personal preference by following these steps Up to a maximum of 150ml for One Cup and 250ml for Two Cup Set up your coffee maker as normal following steps 1 6 of Using your automatic espresso on page 3 Then refer to the following Slide and hold the One Cup 6 or Two Cup 7 Switch and keep pressed until the coffee maker has dispensed the desired amount of coffee Release the switch to set the new dispensing amount The new setting will be stored even if the coffee maker is unplugged from the mains It is not possible to reset the amount back to t
