OO OOOOOO 04 8 2 4 13 PM Adobe PageMaker 6 5J PPC SR5500U DFU_01_ENG 2 2 OTHER FUNCTION TV AUTO ON OFF FUNCTION This function allows the component connected to the TV VIDEO in jack to control the power ON OFF to the SR5500 AUTO POWER ON 1 Be sure the TV auto mode is ENABLED Refer page 19 System Setup 2 Connect your TV TUNER etc to the TV VIDEO in terminal Be sure to connect the VIDEO input 3 Turn OFF the power to the TV TUNER and the SR5500 4 Turn ON the TV TUNER and tune in a receivable station 5 When the station is received the SR5500 turns ON and TV is selected automatically AUTO POWER OFF 1 Inthe above situation turn the TV TUNER OFF or select a channel that does not contain any broadcast 2 The power to the SR5500 switches to STANDBY after approx 5 minutes Notes AUTO POWER OFF is canceled if the SR5500 is set to a source other than TV The function reactivates when TV is selected again Some TV broadcasts may cause the TV AUTO FUNCTION to turn ON The S Video terminal does not support TV AUTO ON OFF function Page 27 ATTENUATION ANALOG INPUT SIGNAL If the selected analog audio input signal is greater than the capable level of internal processing the

When this function is activated the video or S video signal can be emitted from the video S video or component video output terminal To activate this function select VIDEO CONVERT in PREFERENCE menu and set ENABLE Notes The component video signal is emitted only from component video output terminal When the video equipment is connected by component terminal connect the monitor and SR5500 by the component terminal This function is unavailable for the REC out terminal This function is unavailable for the still picture fast forward and reverse playing of the video component If while attempting to use the video convert feature the SR5500 cannot synchronize with the display device NO SIGNAL appears on the monitor or noise is generated this feature cannot be used All of these signs are caused by equipment incompatibility there is nothing wrong with the SR5500 In such case set VIDEO CONVERT in the PREFERENCE menu to DISABLE Also connect the video input signal to the display device via the MONITOR OUT terminal under VIDEO and the S video input signal to the display device via the MONITOR OUT terminal under S VIDEO Example Monitor is connected with the component VIDEO or S VIDEO amp cove en oL VIDEO or
