Lenovo s liability under this item is limited to the violation of essential contractual terms in cases of ordinary negligence HUNGARY Limitation of Liability The following is added at the end of this section The limitation and exclusion specified herein shall not apply to liability for a breach of contract damaging life physical well being or health that has been caused intentionally by gross negligence or by a criminal act The parties accept the limitations of liability as valid provisions and state that the Section 314 2 of the Hungarian Civil Code applies as the acquisition price as well as other advantages arising out of the present Statement of Limited Warranty balance this limitation of liability IRELAND What this Warranty Covers The following is added to this section Except as expressly provided in these terms and conditions all statutory conditions including all warranties implied but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing all warranties implied by the Sale of Goods Act 1893 or the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 are hereby excluded Limitation of Liability The following replaces the terms of section in its entirety For the purposes of this section a Default means any act statement omission or negligence on the part of Lenovo in connection with or in relation to the subject matter of this Statement of Limited Warranty in respect of which Lenovo is legally liable to you wh

The limitations apply to the extent they are not prohibited under 88 373 386 of the Slovak Commercial Code SOUTH AFRICA NAMIBIA BOTSWANA LESOTHO AND SWAZILAND Limitation of Liability The following is added to this section Lenovo s entire liability to you for actual damages arising in all situations involving nonperformance by Lenovo in respect of the subject matter of this Statement of Warranty will be limited to the charge paid by you for the individual Machine that is the subject of your claim from Lenovo UNITED KINGDOM Limitation of Liability The following replaces the terms of this section is in its entirety For the purposes of this section a Default means any act statement omission or negligence on the part of Lenovo in connection with or in relation to the subject matter of this Statement of Limited Warranty in respect of which Lenovo is legally liable to you whether in contract or tort A number of Defaults which together result in or contribute to substantially the same loss or damage will be treated as one Default Circumstances may arise where because of a Default you are entitled to recover damages from Lenovo This section sets out the extent of Lenovo s liability and your sole remedy 1 Lenovo will accept unlimited liability for a death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Lenovo and Appendix B Lenovo Statement of Limited Warranty 51 b any breach of its obligations implied by Sec

Where it is impossible to avoid reflections or to adjust the lighting an antiglare filter placed over the screen might be helpful However these filters might affect the clarity of the image on the screen try them only after you have exhausted other methods of reducing glare Dust buildup compounds problems associated with glare Remember to clean your monitor screen periodically according to your monitor manufacturer s instructions Air circulation Your computer and monitor produce heat The computer has a fan that pulls in fresh air and forces out hot air The monitor lets hot air escape through vents Blocking the air vents can cause overheating which might result in a malfunction or damage Place the computer and monitor so that nothing blocks the air vents usually 51 mm 2 in of air space is sufficient Also make sure the vented air is not blowing on someone else Electrical outlets and cable lengths The location of electrical outlets and the length of power cords and cables that connect to the monitor printer and other devices might determine the final placement of your computer When arranging your workspace e Avoid the use of extension cords When possible plug the computer power cord directly into an electrical outlet Keep power cords and cables neatly routed away from walkways and other areas where they might get kicked accidentally For more information about power cords see Power cord notice on p

Performance USB Keyboard does not work Verify that The computer is turned on e The keyboard is securely connected to a USB connector on the rear of the computer e No keys are stuck If you cannot correct the problem have the computer serviced The mouse does not work The computer does not respond to the mouse Note This applies to a mechanical mouse only Clean the mouse Verify that The computer and monitor are turned on and the brightness and contrast controls are set correctly The mouse is securely connected to the mouse connector on the computer If you cannot correct the problem have the computer serviced The operating system will not start Verify that e There is no diskette in the diskette drive e The startup sequence includes the device where the operating system resides Usually the operating system is on the hard disk During startup look for prompt to start the Setup Utility program See Starting the Setup Utility on page 9 for details Verify the startup sequence in the Setup Utility program If you cannot correct the problem have the computer serviced An error code is displayed before the Operating system starts Write down the code number and see Error codes on page The computer beeps multiple times before the Operating system starts Verify that no keys are stuck down If you cannot correct the problem have the computer s
