10. actor to a lower gear 10 FD1548 amp FD1560 3 Spindle Grooming Mower 310 155M 7 18 08 Land Pride Section 3 Adjustments Table of Contents Section 3 Adjustments 3 Point Hitch Adjustments Refer to Figure 3 1 The 3 point hitch system on this mower has been designed for front to back flotation when mowing on uneven terrain On the two wheel mower with fixed lower hitch pins and the four wheel mower with floating lower hitches in a mid position adjust the tractor s top link to place the upper hitch pin vertically above the lower hitch pins as shown below J J 11910 3 Point Assembly Figure 3 1 Leveling the Mower NOTE Tractor and mower should be on level ground 1 Set the lower hitches and upper floating hitch as shown in Figure 3 1 2 Start tractor and raise mower watching that tractor draw bar if not removed does not interfere with mower 3 Slowly lower the mower until gauge wheels touch the ground and the lower mower 3 point hitch bars are parallel to the ground in floating position Set tractor 3 point stop 4 Set park brake and turn off tractor Remove key from ignition 5 Adjust the tractor top link in or out to place the upper hitch pin vertically above the lower hitch pin as to allow mower flotation 6 Rotate blades parallel to direction of travel 7 Measure the clearance from the cutting edge to the ground at front and rear of the blade This measureme
11. alant has been added in Air tires to help reduce air loss from punchers due to nails thorns etc NOTE Under inflated tires can roll off of rim Maintaining air pressure within 5 PSI of maximum tire pressure reduces the risk of tires rolling off of rim 14 FD1548 amp FD1560 3 Spindle Grooming Mower 310 155M 7 18 08 Land Pride Table of Contents Section 5 Maintenance and Lubrication Service Mowing Blades IMPORTANT Replace blades with genuine Land Pride 1 Both blades should be sharpened at the same angle Baer ey as the original cutting edge and must be replaced or reground at the same time to maintain proper balance Sto rage in the mowing unit At the end of the working season or when the mower will not be used for a long period it is good practice to clean off any dirt or grease that may have accumulated on the mower and any of the moving parts NOTE Care should be taken in order not to remove any more material than necessary when sharpening blades 1 Clean as necessary 2 Check the blades for wear and replace if necessary 2 Both blades should weigh the same after sharpening see Service Mowing Blades this section on page 15 3 When replacing or sharpening the mower blades 3 Inspect the mower for loose damaged or worn parts examine bolts for excessive wear and replace if and adjust or replace as needed necessary 4 Lubricate as noted in the Lubrication portion of this Blade Replacement
