Do not disassemble charger Do not use charger if it has been damaged left outdoors in the rain snow wet or damp environments or immersed in liquid 12 The battery pack and charger heat during charging Place the charger on a flat non flammable surface away from flammable materials with at least four inches of clearance to allow proper air circulation around the charger and battery pack When the battery pack requires recharging a 1 hour charge allows the tool to operate at full power A charging indicator light on the charger will illuminate to show that charging is taking place CHARGING BATTERY PACK USING ONE HOUR CHARGER 690507 BATTERY PACK CHARGE BATTERY PACK Plug the charger into the nearest 120 volt electrical outlet The step of the battery has positive and negative terminal markings on it Align the markings with the identical markings on the top of the charger base Insert the battery pack into base Pack will not insert properly if reversed 2 Make sure the trigger on the Impact Wrench is in the OFF position and remove the battery BATTERY pack from the Cordless Impact CHARGER Wrench 3 If when first inserting the battery pack the red ON button does not light up press the SET button on the charger When the battery is charging the red light is ON After approximately one hour of charging the red indicator light should go OFF and the green light should come ON

The green light indicates that the battery is fully charged pA e When fully charged reattach battery pack onto Cordless Impact Wrench mak ing certain latches fasten securely Cordless Impact Wrench will not operate properly if the battery pack is not seated properly ASSEMBLY WARNING Be aware that this tool is always in an operating condi tion because it does not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet Always turn the switch OFF and remove the battery pack before changing bits INSTALLING REMOVING SOCKET ON THE ANVIL 4 CAUTION When removing the socket or bit from the tool avoid contact with skin and use proper protective gloves when grasping the socket bit or accessory Accessories may be hot after prolonged use When installing a socket align the holes in the side of the socket with the dent pin Press the socket on until the dent pin engages in the hole To remove a Socket depress the dent pin through the hole using a small pointed object and pull the socket off OPERATING THE IMPACT WRENCH 4 WARNING Never tape the trigger switch down to provide continuous high speed The tool may fail under such conditions causing fire or personal injury VARIABLE SPEED TRIGGER SWITCH THIS TOOL IS CONTROLLED BY A TRIGGER SWITCH The speed of the Cordless Impact Wrench depends on the amount of pressure you put on the trigger The more pressure you apply the faster the Cordl

Store tool and battery pack in locations where temperatures will not exceed 120 F This is important to prevent serious damage to the battery cells The battery pack should always be recharged when the Cordless Impact Wrench begins to run slowly When battery pack is not in use keep it away from other metal objects such as paper clips coins keys nails screws or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another Shorting the battery terminals together may cause sparks burns or fire boxes product kit boxes drawers etc with loose metal objects Battery pack terminals could be short circuited causing damage to the battery pack severe burns or fire The battery pack is Nickel Cadmium Ni Cad and is considered to be a toxic material by the Environmental Protection Agency Before disposing of dam aged or worn out Ni Cad battery packs check with your State Environmental Protection Agency to find out about special restrictions on the disposal of these battery packs take them to your local recycling center for proper disposal or call 1 800 822 8837 REMOVING ATTACHING BATTERY PACK REMOVE BATTERY PACK 1 Press both release buttons on either side of the Impact Wrench to release the battery pack 2 Pull battery pack free of Impact Wrench ATTACH BATTERY PACK Align the raised portion of the battery pack with the groove in the battery compartment of the Impact Wrench RELEASE BUTTON
