Changing the decode mode DECODE You can change the decode mode for digital audio playback From the remote control only Gm GE Gu 2 CONTROL SUBWOOFER EFFECT Ce CENTER TEST CaN SGN TEN 1 Press DVD to select DVD as the source 2 Press DECODE to select the decode mode The display changes as shown below each time the button is pressed AUTO PCM DTS gt back to the beginning AUTO PCM Optimized for all discs playable on this sys tem Default DTS Select this mode when playing a DVD disc recorded in DTS Surround The DTS decoder will be selected as the in ternal decoder When to try changing the decode mode When the decode mode is set to the default AUTO PCM setting and a DVD recorded in Dolby Digital Surround or DTS Digital Surround is played the internal decoder will be automatically se lected before audio playback begins Depending on the disc re corded in DTS Digital Surround this may result in a brief loss of audio after playback starts This is due to lost audio signals that were inputted during internal decoder selection In these instances lost audio can be prevented by manually select ing DTS beforehand However please note that when the decode mode is set to DTS you will be unable to playback audio from discs recorded in a mode other than the DTS Digital Surround After changing the decode mode and playing back a disc re

On the center unit Press p gt or kaa Press ka to locate the beginning of the current chapter title or track Press lt 4 twice quickly to locate the beginning of the pre vious one Press gt gt to locate the beginning of the next chapter title or track Note e When you play a Video CD with PBC function or a DVD disc the center unit may locate different place but it will generally locate the beginning of the title or chapter or track Using the DVD player Resuming playback Video E E The center unit stores the position on a disc where you want to in terrupt playback at and resumes playback from that position later To let work the resuming playback the item RESUME in the SYS TEM menu must be set to ON beforehand Otherwise set it to OFF See page 45 To store the playback position During playback press STOP or AUDIO 5 on the remote control Or During playback press B 5 on the center unit The center unit stores the position at which STOP or lll is pressed and the RESUME indicator on the display window is lit The last stored memory overrides the previous memory Note e The interrupted position is stored even when AUDIO on the remote control or 5 on the center unit is pressed to switch power OFF stanaby To resume playback from the stored position While stopped press PLAY on the remote control or press gt on the center unit Playback begins
