1. 4 SQUARE HINGE 1993 H B IVES a HARROW COMPANY Wallingford CT 06492 MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR H B IVES IN PORTUGAL2. 670 DOOR HINGE 4 RESIDENTIAL DOOR HINGE SQUARE CORNER DOOR HINGE FOR USE ON RESIDENTIAL DOORS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TOOLS REQUIRED Drill 3 32 bit Phillips screwdriver chisel hammer awl pencil 1 1 4 spade bit or 1 1 4 router New Installation 1 Position top of hinge approximately 5 from top of door and bottom hinge approximately 10 from floor Position the third hinge equally between the top and bottom hinges The hinge barrels should extend out from door enough to clear door casing See illustration Trace hinge outline and mortise door to fit thickness of hinge leaf The inside edge of hinge should be approximately 1 4 from door edge See illustration Mark and drill pilot holes with 3 32 drill bit Fasten hinges to door and jamb with screws provided Make sure the end with the hole is pointed toward the floor ap v N Replacement Installation 1 Remove hinge pins from all hinges 2 Remove door from frame 3 Remove existing hinges 4 Install new hinges Note Tapping a nail through the hole in hinge tip will remove hinge pin MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS H B Ives Solid Brass products have a clear protective lacquer coating which helps prevent discoloration Polish with a soft cloth Do not use abrasive waxes or cleaners LOOK FOR OUR DECORATIVE TIP KITS Drita fi l O Nak O ALA Ball Steeple C680B3 C681B3 4074 20429 WI C670B3
